Hi everyone! Happy new year! :D

It's been a long time since I updated myself with what's happening here. Been pretty busy with the typhoon and earthquake that affected our country and the holidays as well. Now I'm back and I was wondering if any of you spouses from the Philippines got your passport requests already? :)

Also, just to inform everyone esp those from the Ph, that a man from the "Manila Visa Office" called me in my cellular phone using another cellular phone number, about a month and a half ago asking for details like my address, my spouse's name and his birthday. He said they were for verification purposes. He then said, he was calling to ask me if I was affected by the typhoon because my husband called the visa office to ask if our application can be expedited. This really baffled me because I know for a fact that my husband did not do such a thing. Anyway I was honest in answering him and told him that although our town was affected, our house was located in the city and was not damaged. He then said "That's right. Because according to our reports your area wasn't severely affected." So I asked him if this information would delay my application, he said it wouldn't, but just to wait for another 6-8 months as it is the usual processing time. He also said he received our application Nov. 6, 2013. I confirmed with my husband and he didn't call CIC. So until now, we re wondering if that was a legit call from the embassy or just someone with nothing to do.
Any thoughts on that?

By the way our ECAS says the following:
Sponsorship "Decision Made"

We received your application to sponsor ---------------- on September 26, 2013.

We sent you a letter on November 5, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
*Spouse received email regarding sponsorship approval on Nov. 5, 2013*

Permanent Residence "Application Received"

We received ----------------'s application for permanent residence on September 26, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR ME? :) ::)

Hi everyone,

I sponsored my husband, and I checked at ECAs, noticed that my first name was misspelled. Will this delay the processing of my husband's application? His file is already transferred to the VO last OCT/NOV 2013. Pls advise me on what to do. Thanks!

Hi there... next will be PPR
supposedly Feb-March will be the target month for PPR for SEPT applicant but because of the delay that happened due to the Yolanda incident seems that the waiting game will take much longer now.. lets anticipate maybe additional 2 mos for the PPR.. but we never know wish to have miracle in a coming days for us....hehehehe

:) My husband has just received an e-mail on January 3rd requesting for his passport to be sent and that the process is almost complete :) We are very surprised at how quickly things are going but so grateful and happy.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive your visa once your passport has been sent?

Wishing everyone else the same speedy approval :)
