Ours weighed 3.5 kgs and we sent the application thru Canada Post. The pages are around 300 + because we sent a lot of photos and post-mailed letters.mrsldr said:my husband was the one who send the application. we used A4 size paper and it's around 400 pages. We actually didn't count the pages after all the sleepless nights just to finish the whole application especially on the proof of relationship documents... we send it via canada post and arung 1.5kg.

Yes, they recieved it today. I'm planning on moving to Brantford, ON.
Just wondering.... And this may be a stupid question I have overlooked, but how do I find out our status? Will they mail us something? Do we apply via online? Or.... What?

MrSputnik said:I see! That makes sense. Well all the best to you!
mrsalvaro why don't you just give everyone access to the spreadsheet. Works for the Vienna spreadsheet without problems so far![]()
DutchCanadian said:For those wondering about their application once it's sent to CIC for sponsor assessment, my package got there a few days before AOR. I received AOR on September 14 and they actually stated they received it a day earlier than I had on tracking - September 5.
It sounds like you're all very prepared with your packages! I hope we'll be okay with our package - it didn't have any information regarding texts/phone bills. Just photos, contracts showing we lived together for three years, travel tickets/confirmation and letters from family. Hopefully they'll acknowledge it!

Thanks for your kind suggestion MrSputnik!![]()

mrsalvaro said:If you used courier like DHL, FedEX and Purolator or thru Canada Post, they all have their online tracking system. From there, you will be able to know if CPC-M already received your application including the date and who received the application. In our case, we used Canada Post and was able to track it and got the name of the person who received the package as well as the time and date.
AORs are usually given in 1-2 and are sent by CIC thru the Sponsor's email (if they were able to provide it in the form). There are cases that AORs are SAs are issued at the same time. SAs are sent on average of 2-6 weeks from the date CPC-M received the application.
There are instances also that CPC-M sent their SAs thru regular mail last June when the PAFSO strike was at its peak.![]()
