Toby, can you please confirm if u have seen anyone do it. If i have a chance, i don't want to miss it, since it will not effect my travel plans. I can ask my frnds here to courier it back to me.

As far as i know, Our company used to apply for a closed Work permit. The communication that we got was that, if we leave the country during WP processing, the application is considered void.

Can anyone please elaborate more on this ?

This user was travelling while he had the BOWP application in process, and was outside of Canada by the time he got it approved

And how I read the instructions and guide, you have to be in Canada, holding a valid work permit by the time you apply, not
until a decision has been made.

i am hoping to see your AOR mid next week or earlier. it\d mean they are becoming a bit faster after strike backlog.

According to your timeline, you're an October applicant? Is that right? In that case, no way are you going to get AOR next week.
The first two September applicants got AOR today and yesterday, it is going to take at least 3 until you get your AOR.

Hi Anil...I would suggest you to go for it if you dont mind tossing $ 150.....The best thing here is, you get 1 yr open work permit and you can travel before you get your PR without going for LMO or closed permits again if you want to travel as soon as you can (or) if you want to make more money joining a different company in India which offers you Canada onsite again....just as a safety
