Yah Toby, that's really interesting.
God knows how CIC is processing the applications.

Maybe they just picked a bunch of apps and assigned them to a new group of officers, since the strike is now over.

Eyes on bhopali, abhionly4u1, Fkhan, searing_heat, kunisha, the_batman - check for Credit card charges :D

Ya eh? I'll keep the spreadsheet updated whenever I see changes in the AOR processing time.

Yes, we're all eagerly waiting for AORs :) But there's still lots of August AORs missing... We'll see how many
August applicants will get their AOR today.

Hi All

One of my colleague whose application has reached CIC on 5th Aug, 2013 is still waiting for his AOR. His application was not returned either. Looking at the blogs, it seems like the 11th and 12th August guys have already received their AORs. Any clue on what is happening?

Ask him to log into ECAS and see if that works.

The information on trackitt is wrong (he corrected it now), I checked with him personally and here are the details.

1. Application was received by CIO on Aug 12 and AOR received on Oct 11.
2. Payment was made online using credit card on Aug 8.
3. Payment receipt attached along with the application.
4. NOC code: 1122

Well that solves the mystery. I thought maybe he got lucky, and if that had happened, then it would have been so wrong, since more people are waiting in queue before him :)

Yes. The mystery is resolved indeed. So CIC is still taking their sweet time of 60 days then. Today is 38th day for me and I still need 22 days.

Has anyone applied BOWP after 19th Sep, 2013. Few blogs claim that the online application for BOWP has a "check point" on the validity of current WP. Is that true? Is paper based application the only way to apply BOWP in case if the current WP is valid for more than 4 months? Or all these changed rules of Online BOWP application are just imaginations / guesses / misguidings / fears?

Heard of that checkpoint as well, but I created my WP application file online yesterday. My current WP expires end of March 2014, so way more than 4 months left on mine.
I haven't send my application yet as I am waiting until december with that, but up until the point where you send the application, there's no checkpoint.

However, if you apply with more than 4 months left on your current WP you risk getting rejected as
of the updated OB485-A.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi guys, the intake office has returned my application because I forgot to include the birth certificate of my wife.... lol. I actually could not believe that i have overlooked this.

But anyhow, I am taking this as a wake up call and make sure that I check, double check and triple check everything before I finalize and submit my application. It's also a blessing in disguise as I am not sure if I actually have met the 52 weeks requirement as I have taken a vacation in mid January to February 15, 2013. But this time, I am pretty confident that I have more than 52 weeks of experience.

I also wanted to share how my application forms and documents were looked at by the officer:

1. Each and every entry that I have made on the application forms were actually check one by one and they have mark them with a red pen.
2. In Imm 0008 - Under the question number 4, Immigration Office Requested for processing this application, I have entered: CPP-Ottawa, but the officer have striked it and erased it and have marked it as: CPR. I am not sure what this CPR means? anybody?
3. They did not use the self-address mailing labels. What they have used is a big 8x11 envelope with a clear plastic window where my name and address appears from the letter they have prepared.
4. The letter which states the reason for the return of my application was dated October 7, 2013. So guys, it seems that the processing time is picking-up and getting faster each day.
5. I also have made a lot of errors on the data entry, most especially with the dates where my wife and I have lived for the past 10 years. LoL...

I have read somewhere from a post from toby that we need to check, double check, triple check and let your wife or another person to review everything before submitting the application. Which is actually true and that is what I am going to do right now. It appears to me that the officer was the one who checked it for me, corrected the mistakes that I have made and then returned it to me. lol

Also this will actually clear my mind and worries, that next time I submit my application, I will not include all my paychecks as my employer does not pay overtime. Not until the month of August, 2013 and onwards.

Thanks,

Neo

Sorry to hear my friend. When did you get your application back? Just wondering as your application reached CIO 2 days or so after mine did...

You mean entries in forms? Like they check every field? That would explain why it takes so long to get AOR...

2. In Imm 0008 - Under the question number 4, Immigration Office Requested for processing this application, I have entered: CPP-Ottawa, but the officer have striked it and erased it and have marked it as: CPR. I am not sure what this CPR means? anybody?

No idea. Would be interesting to know tho. My first guess would be Central Processing R....?

Amen, brother! Have a family member or friend check your application as well.

All the best with your next application!!

toby, I only received it today. But the letter which was included with all of my documents was dated October 7, 2013. So I am guessing that yours is on your way to AOR...

and yes... they have marked every entry, on every page, on all the forms...

BTW: CPR = Central Processing Region
Generic internal term for centrally processed applications, which are done in Ottawa for the CEC class. I got this info from another thread.

Goodluck to all of us and I guess I am now included with the October or November applicants... heheh

Hi

Sorry to hear that Neochan. I am now worried about my application too. Because I have marked my NOC code as 2173 where as it should be 2174. Fingers crossed. By the way, can you tell us the date of your application, date received etc.

Regards,
Kunishsa
