Hi,

I applied under the FSW Arranged Employment category on September 26th, application was received on September 28th at the Sydney In-take office. My CC was charged on November 19th and also received an acknowledgement of receipt (AOR). It mentioned that my application received a positive feedback for eligibility and has been forwarded to the visa office requested. I am currently in Toronto on a work permit.

I'm pretty sure PER is sent through email not by regular mail :)

Hi friends,

I found that CIC updated the processing times for FSW.

Processing times for federal skilled worker applications on CIC (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp) said:
The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2011 and September 30, 2012.

SINCE June 26, 2010 applications;
Manila – Philippines : 12 months
Singapore – Singapore : 17 months
Sydney – Australia : 15 months
London – United Kingdom : 17 months
Vienna – Austria : 13 months
New York - United States : 22 months
Ottawa (Case Processing Pilot) - Canada : 8 months

It probably takes a little longer as some 2010 applicants whose VO is Ottawa are still waiting.... but I think it can be a measure of our processing time.
Best of lucks for us :)

Maybe here is an answer :)

How are processing times calculated?

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.

When estimating how long you will wait to receive a temporary visa, you must also take into account up to 10 days of transit or delivery time on top of CIC’s processing time. The time your application will spend travelling to and from CIC will vary depending on where you live.

My eCAS has been updated and shows status as "In Process"

Hello Everyone,

I was a little concerned based upon my case. I don't have an LMO, instead I am working under a Post-Graduation Work Permit in a permanent high-skilled job which is an exception to the LMO rule. I called and they mention I did not make any mistakes since I have a letter from my employee stating that they intend to hold onto my services upon the approval of the PR.

I got my credit card charged in Nov 5th and yet have not received the PER. Did anyone here applied under my same conditions? I am wondering if this is the case why my PER is taking longer.

Regards

Hey we are in the exact same path, my cc was charged the same day as yours and I applied on Sept 13th. Who was declined today? do you have LMO or just Post-graduation work permit like me?
