Could you all post where everyone is getting their medicals done so that we don't end up with any bad doctor....I am gonna try tomorrow to see which doctor to go to...If anybody has an idea on their price structure that would be even better....I will personally be looking for upfront medicals...

I understand that there are no bad doctors..my apologies..i meant bad clinics who take forever to upload your results....I was reading about them yesterday and came across two one in Scarborough and one in Mississauga.....so just wanted to see others experiences...

True, I agree with you. These are CIC approved Clinics and they act professionally and do the job as per guidleness.They could be some exceptions for delays in uploading the documents. I reckon, choosing the clinic which offers better price, location and time will be key aspect.

It really depends on a bunch of things. Typically a clinic can take upto 2 weeks to submit your eMedicals. Since the doc is required to perform blood tests and x-rays and often times it takes a while before the doctors receive results. I went to the one in Toronto.. Dr. Bryan Anthony Melbourne.. This guy will take 2 weeks for sure.

He is a very nice person. I did my medical on Monday, he told me it will take 5 days to send the report. He sent the report on Saturday and Ecas updated on Wednesday. He charges 250$. If you want you will get the appointment on next business day. His clinic is very busy though. Hope it helps

I understand how people want to get it done as soon as possible - that's how I felt when I did mine - but with the holidays approaching, it probably doesn't matter whether the result gets posted in 1 week or 2 weeks, since if you do your medical now, chances are it won't be looked at by CIC until after new year, so you might as well just look for the cheaper one, like Dr. John Nazareth on College street, which charges $185

Distance and cost are probably the best criteria for choosing DMP, unless someone is time-bound for leaving or getting into the country. I am sure we will all look back at these days and think, wow what a journey !

No MR yet unfortunately. Was hoping for it today since those that got the 2nd ECAS line the day before me got it yesterday. I can't help but be impatient now I got the second line and it seems people are getting it a few days after that.

I just figured 1 day later than others with second line should mean 1 day later with MR. Obviously doesn't work that way. I can't help but be impatient now I know it'll come soon!

It's my wife's birthday tomorrow - maybe we'll get MR as a birthday present to her!
