Hi Shah- Yes you can do your medicals without any forms or documents received from CIC. I did my upfront medicals (not sure if they would be still valid by the time I receive my medical requests). You just need to call the clinic, just tell them you need to do upfront medicals for your PR and Doctor office will let you know if they do upfront medicals. Most of doctors in Toronto do upfront medicals and you can check with the doctor in your area if he/she does upfront medicals. Please note: Don't tell them you got MR but there was no attached document or anything as it will un-necessarily confuse them. Keep it simple, Do a Medical and once the doctor's send the request to CIC, email CPP-O and ask them to confirm the same. Thats it :)

Hi everyone,

I am also September applicant. My work permit expires on mid of September. Do you think that I should apply for work permit extension now or wait for a few more weeks? What will you do for this dilemma?

Thanks

Apply ASAP.

I know it sounds stupid; Does paying RPRF fees upfront going to speed up the process? I have already completed my medicals in June and awaiting PPR request..

Apply ASAP and look into applying online if possible, it's usually faster than the paper application.

GRRRRRR.... when is my MR coming????? At this point, even if they send me ATIP notes it would be okay.... but nothing seems to be happening at CPP-O at this point >:(

If you check out the PAFSO union facebook page (the group representing the members doing the strike),
this is their tactic, to delay all the work so that they can increase pressure on government and bring them to negotiating table.

Though, i'm still not 100% if CPP-ottawa and CiC in general is among the ones in the strike.

Dear heaven.. Don't they know that Ottawa could not care less about whether or not we ever get PR? That doesn't pressure the government. The only people who will feel the effects of such a tactic are US! :'(

People from mid november are getting MR now

What a email today: Everything was verified and was waiting for my MR, but came letter with refusal. :-( I had 2 TWP each one year. Contract for 40 hours/week NOC 1215. Worked cca 4200 hours for those 24 months and they wrote: Not 24 month experience because missing 1 week to gain. I worked 1 year ( TWP valid one day less than one year) than 2. year same. After that I have been back home country finnish my studies and now I have new TWP for 2 years, Brake was 1 year and 3 days.

So officer refused my app due one week missing experience even now is only one year required? That is really SUCKS!!!

I can apply right away again, just to go for language test as my new position require IELTS 6, not 5 like the last one. Just 10 months waste of time.. and almost $2k gone.

anyone similar experience?

Oh noo.... so sorry to hear that!!! They are sooooooo picky!! I dont get why they have to wait until 10 months to do that eligibility test.... Thats like the first thing that should be done!!! Its sick...!

You can apply right away... but make sure to add new Police clearance certificate and all! This time its only 1 year of full time work.

By the way, when was your application received?
