Eiligibility was first assessed on May 14.

Notes say the following:

"FOSS/GCMS check: No adverse info. Temporary resident status authorized during CEC qualifying period. Civil status: Never married, no spouse/CLS or children declared Work Experience: Assessed under TFW stream, CEC qualifying period is: 19SEP2009 to 19SEP2012. 13SEP2012 TO 14SEP2012, NOC 4162 DECLARED, F/T ECONOMIST for (company name). Letter confirms dates of employment and describes the duties which appear to conform to NOC. T4 and NOA provided, with reported earnings consistent with stated occupation. Supporting docs appear sufficient to demonstrate required experience in this NOC code. Language: IELTS submitted, meets benchmarks for work experience at this skill level. Education: Canadian credential granted, Master of Arts Economics, (name of university). Transcripts show that this degree was obtained through one-year of studies, therefore the PA does not qualify under Student stream. Criminality: PA RCMP Screening - NRT Doc received for PA: Police clearance from (country) No additional docs required at this time."

wow this is similar to mine , by any way was us application processed by JD01379 officer? He did for me and on May 1. Since then nothing.

Hi pari_p,

The problem isn't that they're lazy. The problem is the strike. CIC has moved resources from processing PRs to processing visas, in order to make sure that essential services are not disrupted. As a consequence, the processing of PR applications has slowed down considerably. GRRRRRRRR!!!! Oh well.... I am sure they have valid reasons for strike...... BUT send me my GCMS notes atleast :'( need to know if I pass eligibility

I would say go for it!. I did well in advance even when I didnt know if I will pass Eligibility. Atleast now you know your eligibility is passed, I would recommend go for medicals and save those extra time waiting.

Hi guys,

Just received my GCMS notes. After almost 10 months of radio silence from CIC, this comes as a huge relief:

Eligibility: in progress, recommend passed
Criminality: in progress
Security: not started
Medical: not started

A quick question: do you think it's worth it for me to do advance medicals, or should I wait until CIC requests it? Given that this whole ordeal is taking forever, I'm just wondering if advance medicals might speed things up a little bit...

Could you please confirm the procedure / process for requesting the GCMS Notes ?

Just applied for my GCMS notes. With this strike on and no real movement forward with any of us in the September 2012 group I figured "what the hell, for $5 I might as well try." Who knows I may receive my MR before the end of the month but I'm not holding my breath

GCMS is free if you apply under "Privacy Act". 5$ only for act to Information act. Please apply under "Privacy act and it will be free."

I applied under the Information Act as well yesterday. We can see how long it takes since we applied on the same date.

The information is the same regardless under which option you apply.
