Looking at people's timelines I can't help but feel that I got the short end of the stick this time.
My application was received on Sep-17 and I still didn't get request for medicals, someone who applied on Sep-10 already has permanent residency and someone who applied on Sep-11 already got his passport requested.
How can 6-7 days difference create a gap of many months between our timelines? The answer is the PAFSO strike
I guess the strike effect kicked in right before my application got looked over but after the Sep 10~11 applications, this is bad luck!
The worst is that I could have applied a week or 2 earlier, I could have used priority mail, but I would have never thought that a 6,7 day different on the application received date would result in several months delay in the end.
