I just spent $120 as fees for applying PPC for me and my my wife at VFS Global today. Wish I read this before going! India as a Country is not listed as mandatory.

Hey, I wouldn't rely on the link you posted. For instance, Brazil is one of the countries that needs police checks but the link is not including it. Isn't it better to rely on CIC's website ? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/index.asp

@ SIN0319 - Is your CC charged or Bank Draft Cashed?

I sent a money order to CIC, will I be able to check if it was cashed or not ? When I got it the lady in Scotia bank told me I can't verify.

But one of my friends who got bank draft from TD bank told me that he checked the status of draft by calling the TD's call center.

I also bank with Scotia Bank and to check the status of the draft you need to visit the branch. Their systems get updated weekly on Monday.

The Call Center (1-800-4-SCOTIA) cant provide this information.

Hope we need to attach PCCs from all the countries where we lived more than 6 months.
Even though this is not a mandatory document this has to be sent with the application, which will minimize the processing delays.
