Again again again.....Mid Sept applicants..what's going on?? Why suddenly the window between 11th to 26th Sept (approx) is moving so so slow?....I could see in trackit that even end October Applicants received their MRs, some of them received it in end of May...What is wrong with us then?? So so worried...Applied GCMS note more that 3 weeks back, but did not hear back from CIC...Anyone has any idea/news/opinion plzz...???

No one can really answer this question. I myself is an early August applicant and I received RPRF and Biodata request only yesterday. It might have been stuck at criminal or security check.
It is pretty obvious that all Visa officers do not follow the same steps. Some might wait for criminal check to complete and some may not and send the request as soon as the applicant is found eligible.

I already email them on last month, 10 May 2013, about asking my status; Reply i got is no additional docs requ from u at this moment.

Still no update anywhere!!! How long does it take?? its like a slow pain

Is it ok to do email one more time asking about status? Or just wait and watch

Hi LakshyaPR,

In my experience, emailing CIC is sort of useless. They usually give replies like "your application is in process and you'll be contacted if we need anything", which is not helpful at all.

If you're in Canada, I suggest you submit a request for your GCMS notes (under the Privacy Act, doesn't cost anything). The notes take up to 30 days to arrive, but at least they'll provide some concrete information as to what has been done with your application. You can request GCMS notes online at https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en

I recieved mail on june 13th 2013 from CIC " FBI Clearance: provide an original FBI clearance certificate This must be received at this office by: 06/23/2013" .. They gave just 10 days notice.. I am just in process of applying the request to FBI. I saw in FBI website it would take 4 to 6 weeks...

What should i need to do now?

there is a note section in that email saying i have to send the document within 60 days.. i am not sure if that note section in generic or specific to FBI clearance..

Email CPP-Ottawa and tell them that you have applied for the FBI Certificate, and that according to the website it may take up to 6 weeks to process. Tell them that you will send the certificate as soon as it is received by you.

it is weired...
they are on strike, and no progress since couple weeks ago on mid septenber -end of september applicants.

I emailed to confirm of receip for my RCMP criminal check, and they replied on last SATURDAY 9:58 PM!

I didn't expect any resonse after 5PM even during weekdays.

I am on closed work permit right now , My work permit is expiring on 26 oct 2013 . When should I apply for BOWP . Should is apply on 26 june . or wait for one week then apply.I also applied GCMS notes on june 3rd.

If this goes on for too long my police clearance documents that were submitted with the application back in September are probably not gonna be accepted anymore and I would have to get them all over again, translate, send to Canada, etc....where they valid for 1 year from the date they were issued?
