Email CPP-Ottawa and tell them that you have applied for the FBI Certificate, and that according to the website it may take up to 6 weeks to process. Tell them that you will send the certificate as soon as it is received by you.

One more clarification related to FBI clearance certificate - Is finger print form (listed in FBI webiste) in Paper acceptable by FBI OR Should we only take the finger prints from standard card material
Have printed the FBI finger print sheet in normal paper from FBI website and planningto do my prints in local police station - as there is no nearby finger printing agency
Not sure if in local police station they would provide the Finger printing form in Card format

they are on strike, and no progress since couple weeks ago on mid septenber -end of september applicants.
I emailed to confirm of receip for my RCMP criminal check, and they replied on last SATURDAY 9:58 PM!
I didn't expect any resonse after 5PM even during weekdays.
