Remember, you can apply for a visitor extension, without having to leave.

You're in the CIC system, so you can do it online, just make sure it's at least 1 month before the expiry date. We weren't yet and had to do it via snail mail, in which case, 2 months is a good idea. I'm still waiting to hear if I got my extension, but have what I need should I be questioned, so I'm not here "illegally". Enjoy your time with your hubby! :D

Thank you for a tip! :)

I got an email from Warsaw's VO today with the request for the copy of all pages from my passport!!! :) :) :)

So I think the worse is over and now it's just the matter of time till they approve, right?

@ BG_2012 - how did you send it to Poland? I went to the post office - $58 and it'd get there in 5 days. UPS - as far as I checked their webpage, more than double but would get there in 3 days. I'm actually thinking about scanning it and sending it to them by email (they did mention that I can do it, or fax it even). :P

Any advice from people who were sending their copies of passport from Canada on the fast/cheap way to do it? :-\

Congrats...I am not sure about Poland but NewDelhi office is going at snails pace...Once they ask for passport we have to wait for 2 months till the status will be changed to "In Process"...then another wait for maybe 2 months for the status to change to "Decision Made"

Maybe its coz of the number of applicants that this visa office is handling.

We sent via FedEx. It was about $75 each direction. Had a small delay in the delivery due to holdup at the customs border, but it arrived today. Our letter didn't mention the option to scan the passport pages- they specifically asked for the passport with return paid courier envelope- not sure why there is this difference, but it doesn't matter since it is good news all around! Congratulations!

Hi dud :D congrats ;)
I worked with Warsaw VO last year. They always asked their applicants to sent copy of their Passport via email. They asked me too. It was a regular request & don't know why they didn't ask u :o
I believe u email it and ask them it is necessary to sent out through post?
Good luck
