Hi batch mates! :D ;) Got to logged in our E-cas..My hubby's name and address are on the top..and my name below as sponsored applicant, but the thing is his sponsorship only states *application received*.. We dont have yet any email or post mail coming from cic until now for his sponsorhip approval.. Is he already approved or not?

Hello Cchin....I just logged into mine and I'm in the same boat as you. I also clicked the two underlined received words but it was just empty. I'm wondering the same thing too....is our application approved? and I did not receive any email.

I would venture to say it hasn't been approved, only received and they're working on it. Doesn't seem like your file has been updated beyond that. We got our AOR email last week, and we can log on to ECAS, but nothing is showing yet, not the underlined "received", nothing but my hubby's (sponsor) name.

No you need the official letter from CIC to confirm sponsorship - this will be the first thing - e-cas usually about a week behind.

Color me silly. Just checked again. The two underlined "received" buttons are there for the Sponsorship and PR applications. HALLELUIAH! But nothing more shows up under Sponsorship. Under mine-the PR App, it says they rec'd it on Sept 24.

Thank God! My sponsorship is approved. Best of luck to all

Great to see it progressing - fellow September applicant could not see status change within e-cas until at least a week after the sponsor approval e-mail - so sounds about normal right now :)

Yep same here except mine says it was received Sept 25th. I guess we are in the same boat. Good luck.
I also noticed my husband's name has a spelling mistake. How should I go about this?

My son's name was spelled incorrectly in the AOR. After checking the application to make sure the typo wasn't mine (it wasn't), I sent the VO (Ottawa, in our case) office an email asking them to confirm that the error was only in the AOR. They confirmed within 24 hours that the mistake was only in the AOR, and that it was spelled correctly in the application and in their files. Very easy.

Question fellow members,

After my sponsorship is approved, I went online and checked the status. The status on the Permanent Resident Application status it says

"We have received the Application for PR for( name) on (Date).

Medical results have been received".

Is it a std. message? What worries me is, why they mentioned only about the medicals not the PCC, and other documents?

We just got the 2nd AOR letter, saying that the Warsaw office received the application. They mention that the average processing time is currently 6 months (not 8 months as stated on the CIC website). They gave us a date 3 months from now that we should contact them by if they haven't already contacted us. Very exciting to see, and hopefully they are even faster than expected! Good luck to everyone else on speedy approvals!

Wow that is great news Congrats!

Mine says the same as yours......the way I am perceiving it now is that the medicals now come to Canada and when they are received, CIC puts in medicals received. From there your medicals are transferred to the VO for processing with your application. When your VO starts the process then you will see in process and PPR and all that good stuff.

I live in Mississauga and applied from there...so the e-mail I would sent would be to Ottawa as well? since I don't see any e-mail links for Mississauga CPC.... ???

Thank you

indeed - the medicals arrive separately from the rest of the application, so it's a good sign that you can see "medicals have been received", it means that they were able to match them with your file when received at the VO.

For those who do not have the line "medicals have been received" - don't panic, some VO are better at updating than others, and within the same VO, people have very different indications... ecas is not very reliable, but hey - that's the only thing we have...

Good luck to all,
Sweden
