That's strange. I check mine too and it's the exact same thing. Maybe we'll just have to wait for an update to appear like In Process or whatever other statuses there could be.

That was the same thing I was seeing as well, until I checked using my wife's info, then there was a underlined, "application in process"

That is all you would expect to see for now. If you have the application number...starting with F and 9 letters, log in using the applicants details and you may get something else. Unless you have a UCI number from previous dealings with CIC most people are not aware of their UCI until AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) or sponsor approval. As noted in previous post...CIC state that they update e-cas weekly, usually on a Tuesday. From others experience on here you will usually know more from e-mails from CIC and e-cas tends to catch up eventually....

No guys, I received sponsorship approval email on oct 26. I cant log into my account and on my husband's account all it sais is We received your application for permanent residence on September 10, 2012.

Medical results have been received. ...isnt is supposed to say decision made? can anyone help me with this..does it mean they havent transferred our application to vienna yet?

Dont rely on e-cas....rely on the e-mails you directly have from cic. Dont know about Vienna VO - do they normally send stage 2 AOR? Pretty sure I have seen a Vienna thread somewhere. Some people spend months showing application received and next thing is they received COPR by post - for some people e-cas never changes. Dont worry - rely on e-mails from CIC. What is the processing time for Vienna? You may want to give it a month or so and contact Vienna VO to confirm the applicantion has been sent to them. A fellow September applicant Ivan P waitied at least a week for anything to change on e-cas after sponsor approval....hope this helps.

Hi. Thank you for your reply, it does make me feel better. I hope that you are right...i hope everything is ok and that they just didnt update my account. Maybe ill give it another week or so and if nothing changes i will call. So from now on, do we call CIC in mississauga or do we contact our visa office? thank you!

Have you actually had sponsor approval or just AOR?

I never received an AOR i just got an email stating "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing." This is the actual sponsor approval letter right?

Yes that is sponsor approval Many people never recieve an AOR - take a look at September spresdsheet alone - lots have sponsor approval but no AOR - this is not an issue.

Had a quick look - Vienna has a 9 month processing time scale so it really is far too soon to start worrying. From here on in Vienna will deal with your enquiries not Canada. Here is a link to Vienna VO information http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/vienna.asp

You can submit a case specific enquiry to check that they have received your file...but in my opinion far too soon to expect anything from them. It is too soon yet but in a week or 10 days try logging on to e-cas using the application number F and nine numbers which would have been shown on your approval letter and use the applicants details (person to be sponsored).

If London VO is anything to go by you will receive an automated response saying they will take 28 days to reply....if they believe a reply is necessary. Purely informing them of address updates etc. will be unlikey to receive a response. Hope this helps .....

Thank so much for your reply! I do know it takes a while to hear back from the visa office, I just find it a little bit odd that my file doesnt even exist when I use my UCI to log in..it says there is an error. I guess I would just like to be able to log in and see that my application was approved and sent over to Vienna at this point. I feel like everyone else is able to see that update. But I guess the most important thing is that I got the actual approval email

CIC specifically state that e-cas should not be relied upon to determine a sucessful application. You need to rely on direct communication from CIC or VO.. I am 2 days behind you and right now would bite their hands off for sponsor approval e-mail...so like I suggested relax and enjoy

I just rechecked using my wifes info and the application number this time instead of my info and the UCI number, for her's it says application in process (as it should) for mine nothing (yeah pretty much what I should be expecting it to say, since I have already been approved. Ok now I think I have the hang of the ecase thing.

hey everyone, on 15th october my wife (the sponsor) received an email with approval of sponsorship in it. Yeahhhh

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! on to stage 2 now!

Quick question, did they send it back to you after it was moved from Canada?

No I sent it in on Feb 29th and the timeline for application process was at 55 days........then it increased steadily to 96 days....so by the time they (Mississauga) looked at my application it was June. I did not have my husbands medicals in there and I had another form incorrect so they sent the entire application back to me and told me to get the documents required and send it back in. Here they gave me a label with an officers name on it to send it back to so that I did not have to wait the processing time again. I sent back the application around Sept 16th and got my sponsor approval on Oct 4th.
