What up September!!
I just came back from seeing my hubby and I'm happy to report that my mixer, food processor and other kitchen gadgets to there intact hehe! I forgot how crazy it is to fly on the holiday season :-X

A gentle reminder to all Sept 2012.
Hello fellow members,
Good to see you all and good to see Sept 2012 people keep the file updated regularly and it benefits all of us also the future applicants just as some of us got benefitted from the past months' spreadsheets. But when I look at July 2012 spreadsheet, I can see no one has updated after they received PPR. I think the reason is since the VISA approval is the next process to PPR, all the people who got the visa approved did not feel the need to go fill in the spreadsheet for the benefit of others. So I remind everyone here, please don’t forget to fill spreadsheet and return the favor, when you get the visa.

My take is it is too early to say anything. The fact that almost all of us ND VO got PPR this soon points thst, it was just a preliminary step. Or may be they want to verify the information in the passport too! We may get a call/ or may get a visa approval, all based on our documentation and their judgement on that! Lets hope all will be well!

Yeah bineesh...very true....now comes the most important part of the application...WAIT.......N ....WAIT

Hi all, :)

I'm the owner of the spreadsheet and as a response to your concerns - I've disabled the option to make any changes to it for anybody except myself. So from now on, send me a msg here on the forum or a private one if you want me to change something there.

When I was creating it I was convinced (and I still am) that enabling everybody to make changes for themselves was better as it made all of us equally responsible for it and it felt more like "our" spreadsheet. Sure I expected that some may have problems with filling it well etc. but I kinda assumed that the ones with a better knowledge would help to fix it. And that's how it was. On a few occasions when there was some big mix up in the spreadsheet we fixed it easily. I don't think these mix ups were done intentionally - rather somebody clicked something by accident and then didn't know how to undo it. But generally, didn't it feel better to be able to make changes yourself rather than report it to one person?

Anyway, long story short, I can enable the changes again no problem if you want me to, just let me know.

well i have nothing to update.....still here waiting and waiting lol

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows when i will be able to check my status online. I have received a letter with my approval to sponsor my husband, so i have my UCI number and Application number. But when i go on the Canadian immigration website to check the status it says that they were not able to identify me using the information I provided. My husband got the same letter with his own UCI number and it does not work as well. I believe Rabat is now working on our application. Anyone know why i may not be able to check the status?

Thanks for your help

Congratulations on the approval. It takes about a week from the time you get your letter to the time when your status will show up online, so don't worry - it's normal not to be able to access your status online right away.

Depends on when you were approved. As IvanP said, give it a week and also make sure that you use the correct information : UCI + sponsor family name ( not first name, initial, or anything else) or File NUmber + applicant information ( or UCI + Applicant if your husband has received his own).
Good luck,
Sweden

Thank you IvanP and Sweden!
I was approved October 26 so I'm a little concerned as to why i can't log on to see my status.... I will continue to wait patiently.
Thanks again

It's been over a month, your ecas should be working by now. So - if you are sure that you are using the right information, (and check how CIC spelt your name on the approval letter, that's the information that should get you through ecas) and it's not working, contact CIC. They might not have entered all the information etc, and the other case I have heard of "ecas not working" after more than a few weeks following sponsor approval was when CIC "forgot" to transfer the file - and you definitely don't want that to happen. One month is reasonable for ecas to work - contact CIC and see with them what is going on ( I don't want to freak you out, it's not the point of my message, but would rather not have you waiting too long before figuring out a possible CIC mistake).
Good luck,
Sweden

Thank you Sweden! All good now. I guess I was just to excited that I got accepted that I never really took the time to read. I was entering my husbands full name. I Just want this whole process done... Stress level slowly going down. Thanks again :)
