Pinklady,

Took a look at the spreadsheet, those processing times are quick. Glad to hear it!

Dear friends!

I am new member of this forum but I have visited the forum many times before and got a lot of useful informations for my application process.

Now I would like to have some advices from you involving my case. Here the situation:

I sent the application file on 29th Sep and the package was delivered on 30th Sep. Based on the information on CIC website, I was supposed to have the answer on 5th Dec. However, I haven`t received anything "new" until today.

I just called them to ask about how my application was processed, the agent simply told me that my paperwork was not opened yet. While most of September people in here already have the answer, and because CIC are working now on the documents received on 3rd Oct, thus, I am so worried about the delay (It is hard enough to be separated from my wife)

So please clarify me whether this situation is normal or not? Is there any chance they lost my file or they had to keep it longer for verifying purpose?

I thank you in advance for any useful advise.

Regard

@libra

Do not rely on Call center agent's answer. You will get different answers every time you call them. There have been incidents on this forum where people have got sponsorship approval the same day when they had called the CIC and got the same response as you did. Same thing happened to me too.

They usually take file in bunches so wait for few more days and give them a call again.

Don't stress too much over this, because it is not a rule that they approved the applications exactly in the order received. Case and point, there is a person on this forum that applied exactly the same day as me, and he got approval over a week later.

You may want to call back in a week if you have not received an email or a letter by then. Don't worry, I am sure it will all be fine!

Thank you guys very much. I really appreciate it.

I also added you to the spreadsheet. Is that ok? And what is your VO?

@ Leroadrunner: You can add me to the spreadsheet.

Singapore is my VO, and I apply from Quebec. That means even if I pass the procedure, I still have to wait 24 months to see my wife here ;D. It`s pretty touch hein!

welcome to the group. I am here with you. Still waiting for approval. My file is in process since dec1. If I approved then, I have to wait for 24 months like you. Hope tomorrow we get some news from CIC.

Sponsorship Approved on Nov-30th
ECAS Enabled on December 5th - Showed
Sponsor = In Process , PR = Application Received, Medical Received

Tonight It says (9 - Nov)
Sponsor = Decision Made
means ECAS updated after 10 days of approval?

But when Sponsor in process if clicked inside it already said "We sent you a letter on November 30, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. "

But outside it was still showing "In Process"

Maybe they competed some process today part of the Sponsorship process
that is why "In Process" changed to "Decision Made"

People, I got a Honoarary Doctorate Ph.D for doing "medicals research" from UIMS
Congratulations and thank you for all the support!

Hereafter everybody call me Dr. Siva

So the anxiety is finally getting to me...

I had this horrible dream last night, where I had called to inquire about my husbands sponsorship, and no one would help me, they just kept saying I had made a mistake... so in a desperate attempt, I went to the VO personally and the guy handling my app points out that I forgot to write a statement and sign it... and I though I didnt have to, and then I cried and he didnt care... and I kept banging on the glass window to please let me amend the mistake, and he goes on coffee break and leaves me there... and then I woke up....

SHEESH, there has got to be a better way to handle the axiety LOL

Well, happy friday and better dreams to you all! ;D
