Welcome lovlyhyd. You will find that people on this forum are in general very helpful and willing to share information.

Our time will come, Septemberians. We just have to be patient, positive and calm, and that is sometimes hard.
Just think about it this way: A month from now, Mississauga will be mostly (perhaps even entirely) done approving September sponsorships and our applications will have moved on to our Visa Offices. A month. 30 days. We can do it!

Guys I have a question,
I was just looking at the application we have sent in. And I noticed that I didn't put in my email address just my home adress is it possible to call CIC for them to add my e-mail?

Congrats to emrn and Quimce777.

It may not be possible to add or modify your personal details over the phone since they have no guarantee that it is you calling them.
They verify you by asking your Client ID, date of birth etc. But anybody can get those details from you and call them.

Banks, cell phones accounts can be operated over phone because you are given a "password" which identifies that is you.

Youcan call them and ask them directly. You may be required to write a "signed" letter.
If you called them, please post your experience here so that others can share.

(Please take my words only as an opinion. I am not an expert or an authority on this subject. neither have i experienced such situation.)

So happy for both of you emrn and Quimce777, congrats!!!!!

"....Now these “diligent” workers will be dealing with a new influx of requests for the “super visa.” Will the backlog of immigration applications ever be reduced? Not likely.

But then again, it is unlikely any super visas will be issued to anyone from West Africa, just as regular visitor’s visas don’t appear to be issued...."

Hello all!

I've been lurking for a while now, but with Sept applications finally going through, I figured I'd add my info to the thread.

Our application was received at the CIC on Sept 14 (so I've been tracking mumbles's progress with great interest :) ). I'm an American, so when the time comes, we'll be transferred to Buffalo. My medical report was sent in July (I hope they still have them!), so now we're just down to the waiting game...

Thanks for organizing and providing all of this information for us! It is such a great help!

Welcome diadema, I have added you to our spreadsheet, you are close to getting news too!

Cheers!

Thanks! We mailed our application Sept 12, by the way. Cheers!

Hello, I am so glad to see that the applications of sept have started to be process....
We sent ours the 20th of september and arrived in canada the 21. However the tracking didnt show that they actually delivered it. it just says processing to be delivered in Missisauga :( and its being like that since we sent it from England.so.... we've been worried and speculating that probably they didnt upload the tracking or something. We are hoping that they actually got it and is waiting to be open.

Any similar case with mailing issues? :(

Big congrats Quince77! I updated our spreadsheet, you are the first official one. So, it took 73 days...Hope they are not slowing down again.

I'm thinking that Remembrance day could have slowd it down. I don't know but maybe it was just me taking more days for processing, maybe others took shorter time, so average would come up to 68 days?

Thank you everyone for your wishes! So just my 2 cents: it's a good idea to provide them with an e-mail that you regularly check, because this is how I received my notice of sponsor approval from cic.

I want to join to!! I just passed my application last September 28,2011. I am still waiting for the CPC approval so that they can pass it on to Canadian Embassy in Manila. Good luck everyone!
