omg.. hubby gave me surpirse.. at 1st greet me 1st marriage year anniversary on sms.. then open skype.. and we talk for awhile and he said i ned to check dropbox cause he put something new file i thought its a love letter.. oh lala its appproval letter by mail from cic...
we were approved Nov 17.. so i shout for joy i said its best gift for both of us even we are away to our anniversiry...then his parents talk to me and greet me...

yeheyyyy very happy... sorry if im quiet this week cause im worried but im reading ur post..

Keep an eye on your email though, if you gave them an email address, they might approve it before next week, perhaps even today. Calling sometimes gives you answers, and sometimes it doesn't. You never know what kind of an answer you get though, which is probably why they get so many calls!

From the September group on this forum, nobody after sept 14 got approved yet. So based on that I assume they will open your application this week or early next week. I would give it another week of waiting, and call them around then if you stil got no news by then.

Anyone else applied from Quebec from the September group?

Since I got the letter, yesterday I sent my application and CSQ app to MICC... hopefully I get that approved soon too!

Here is my Christmas wish:

Get AOR from the Visa Office and Approval from Quebec before Xmas.... wouldnt that be great!

Never underestimate the power of positive thinking! hehehe

I sent my application on 7 Sept, 2011 by Expresspost, and it delivery successful on 9 Sept, 2011.

My feeling is that the sponsorship department has a weekly quota. Once they have met this quota they're done for the week. That would explain the lack of news on Fridays.
It's just a thought. Oh, how I'd love to know how it works. But if I knew, I'm sure I would have had to sign something that binds me to never telling anyone...

Back to my epic search for the marriage certificate. If I don't find it today or tomorrow, I can't apply for the visitor extension (you have to apply at least 30 days before the current one expires) and that will leave us with flagpoling as the only option. I don't wanna do that!
