I'm sorry guys, I am just going to be fair here. One cannot blame Mr. Kenney for the backlog going on right now. He is trying his best to decrease the backlog by introducing new reforms. Take for instance the parent/grandparent petition process which has been immediately stopped. To compensate for that (which by the way, is just being stopped for 2 years at the moment) they are introducing the super visa. I will not explain that in detail since I am assuming everyone knows already how that works.

When it comes to spousal visas, we are still far luckier than most countries when it comes to processing times. My cousin, who is married to a US PR Card holder, had to wait for 5 years before she got her visa because that is the time frame for spouses of permanent residents whereas spouses of US citizens have to wait anywhere between 10-12 months.We should be happy the Canadian government doesn't discriminate that way, PR's and Citizens are equal, when it comes to sponsoring their spouses.

Yes, he is focusing on bringing more skilled workers into his country, and why shouldn't he? Every politician wants the best for their country, and believe me, Canada survived the recession years ago due to the fact that we had a strong hold on skilled workers coming in the country. I am a skilled worker myself who came here less than two years ago.

The government provides numerous programs to integrate landed immigrants, including our spouses, into the Canadian society by spending billions of dollars on free programs such as ESL, LINC, etc.

Yes, there are struggles for everyone, but like I said earlier, Immigration processes, anywhere, are always tough and a working progress kind of situation.

Some of you have been saying that Kenney should experience separation from his wife and kids to know how we feel, for me that is utter childish. It is not his fault that he and his family are first generation Canadians born in this land.

This message is not meant to demean or insult anyone, I am just giving you guys a look at what we are missing out, due to our own individual cases.

I truly wish that days would go by fast, until we all are united with our spouses/families. It will happen, believe me, til then, continue to live your life and cherish this distance because we will all come out stronger from this experience. It is when you are fighting distance when love grows stronger, with the beauty of all emotions going by, happiness, sadness, perseverance, hope, patience and faith.

I read in one of the CIC websites that processing times are not only constraint of processing resources but also "community resources for settlement" that is a very vaguely worded term for " We will delay for our own reasons which we will not tell you"

The reason I am frustrated is certain things are not fair. It is more one way like selfish. vested interests.
I have seen that all my life and after seeing the same here...just say to myself...no point in struggling...the world is like this only....

I will never accept Canadian government is fair.

For one I can tell you I work in Asbestos demo I see how much they spend in abatement it is a $billion industry.
Reports clearly indicate that there more chances of a person dying in a car accident or cancer then asbestos related diseases.
but still billions of dollars are spent in abatement

Canada is one of the largest exporter of Asbestos to third world countries (here it is banned since the 70's and infact abatement is in its full peak)
Isnt this double standard?

If you left your country to get away from problems then you left for the wrong reasons. I made sure to tell my wife before we begun this process that just because her country has problems doesn't mean that Canada doesn't. Some people immigrate to get away from their countries issues but don't realize that the country they go to have their own issues. Maybe not the same but they have them also. If a person doesn't understand that then they need to be more informed before they make such a decision. In a lot of countries when you go there they think Canadians are millionaires because our money is worth more there. They see how we live in fancy houses and cars but don't realize that these people are so debt ridden. Grow up and stop blaming others for your lack of knowledge of the country you decided to come to. Canada is still by far better than any other country in the world. It has its own problems like anywhere else but we have the right to complain, the right to move around and more so the freedom to live and work where we wish.

Please stop your condemnation of my country and if you can't, please go back to your birthplace. I know a lot of people from the middle east and they are more than happy and thankful to be here. Get more informed and think about the reactions you get from the actions you take. A saying, "For every action there is a reaction." "If life gives you lemons then make lemonade" I think you get the message.

I used to question them "all along for more than 2000 years this country never existed, it only existed as small states with lot of infighting which the imperialist took advantage and colonized...this country was given the shape and name by our slave masters, and you call "my country"?
