Sending in 8 Photo's

Hi there,

Just wondering for the pictures I need to send in (8 35mmx45mm identical pictures) do I need to get them signed by a guarantor?

And also am I correct in thinking that it is Just me that needs to send in pics, not my common-law partner who is sponsoring me as well?

No guarantor signature required on those photos and you are correct that only the sponsored is required to send those pics.

Hi,

It would be nice to know more details, what is your and your common-law status now in Canada, who is sponsoring who, etc.
If you apply, everything should be clearly defined in your checklist / application guide.
But as a general requirement, you should have all the photos dated (stamped) on the day you made them.
For CEC it was a requirement to send 6 photos, and on 5 I was needed to write the name and a birth date for the given person.
Also, I was needed to provide photos about my wife and all my children - weather they are accompanying me or not.

Search in the google: "cic family sponsorship photo specifications" and you'll find answers.

My specifications (appendix b) says four (I'm US) do I need to bring these to my physical tomorrow or do I need different ones? I'm confused on exactly what those are for.

You are provide 4 photos to the exact specifications listed in appendix B for US citizens - these ones go with your application.

For medicals, you need different ones.

Ok, so I need the 8 for this one. I can't find any updated instructions on this and I don't want to pay for ones I don't need. I have the guide that says I need four. Since I'm a spouse the medicals are usually upfront from my research but I can't seem to find the forms. Or picture information. Are they the same size as the other four? I'm getting nervous since it's tomorrow and it's a 3 and a half hour drive so I don't want to forget something and have to reschedule everything

I suggest you to call your doctor again and ask which size he requires."

Call the medical center and ask them if they require photos. Many of them take their own photos when you arrive for the medical. There aren't any forms to take as this is now all done electronically. At the end of the medical the doctor will give you a form to include with your application. Keep the receipt too as this may be needed for your application.

It does, I looked around as well and that's the basic info I found but I will call
