I've been reading through the amazing threads here and a few people have mentioned "sending everything" at the same time as their application. What does this mean? Is there a thread about sending in a full dosier of proof with the application forms? Does this include medical?

Thanks in advance!

If you're submitting an Outland application, you should have your medical before submitting your package. Inland applicants usually wait until CIC requests the medical.

this means that both the sponsor application, the applicant application, medical receipt, application receipts, police certificate(s), applicant PR pictures, and everything related to relationship proof gets put into 1 package and sent to mississauga together. CIC will then reorganize the materials, process the sponsor's application and forward the rest to the appropriate visa office. not submitting everything upfront all together risks getting the application returned. the only 2 items cic tends to "look the other way" with are the police certificates and medical exam receipt. as ponga suggested, it's better to submit the medical upfront. waiting for it to be requested will delay the approval of the application.

From experience, getting a message later on in the process asking for additional documents tends to delay the processing of the application. Almost as if yours is going back to the dreaded "bottom of the pile." This is entirely anecdotal of course, but I would say it's safer to just make sure you have everything complete the first time.
