HI there- I recently had a child. I'm a Canadian citizen in the UK. My husband has just received his permanent residency visa and we plan to leave before the end of the year. I'm about to apply for my son's citizenship certificate but it says it can take 5 months - longer for a child under 18...

Yes electric copy of letter, in the message section of CIC we received an email notification of it though

Our letter says "you have now been issued your confirmation of permanent residence.... please note that as of Dec 2011 citizens of visa-exempt countries will not have to have a counterfoil affixed to their passport. These applicant will on be issues a COPR and and electronic foil (IMM5785)...

Super excited!! We received our COPR letter via CIC today! London Visa Office. Apparently visas from certain countries don't need the foil inside that passport anymore. So we can go now any time! :)

He will be Canadian but was born in England. I will be applying for a citizenship card for him. Does this still need to be added to the application?

Hi there-in ECAS it states that we were sent correspondence on Dec 6th requesting documents. However we haven't record anything nor is there a message in myCic. We were waiting to hear but it's been so long now. Is there a correct way to contact the visa office about this? Thanks

I've seen a few people mention that they included a cover letter but there is no indication on the paperwork that this is a requirement. Should we include a cover letter or is it fine to send without one?

HI all, just a quick one. We are about to send off our application. ;D We are in the UK based in London. Just to verify- we still send the application to Mississauga and then it get transferred to London We don't send directly to the London office. Am I correct? TIA

I've been reading through the amazing threads here and a few people have mentioned "sending everything" at the same time as their application. What does this mean? Is there a thread about sending in a full dosier of proof with the application forms? Does this include medical? Thanks in advance!
