Then you can choose any province. All the best
Yes, I know. Just wondering if we can update where we want to go. We already sent in the application with one location. But we’d like to change that location since we’ve done more research now. We may have more likelihood of acceptance if we choose a place with slightly lower population.

I applied in March 2020, so far have not even received any number, it's not even in the system then right? They only acknowledged they received but no number. Any advice on what I can do?

Oh wait, I went back to my email from cic, and it was actually the temporary number that others in this thread got. But nothing since Jan 2021

Has anyone else received an email about a Client experience survey? It suggests a decision has been made, but we haven't heard anything about a decision and there's no update online.

Hello everyone!

I submitted my Self-employed application (Producer) in Jan 2020, and completed biometrics in March 2020.

I prepared the documentation all by myself. I did not hire any immigration lawyer.

Just waiting now. Timeline end is estimated to be Nov 2021.

Hi Viktoryia,
I'm also a photographer and applied under this stream.
I attached as much relevant information as I could throw at the wall, basically. This included:

- Examples of varied work for private clients, organizations, and publications
- Proof of published work in the US and internationally
- Proof of participation in groups such as WPPA, PPA, and ISPWP
- Examples of awards I've won
- I also included a lengthy "business plan" of how I planned to apply my skills and business ideas once I landed.
- Examples of work from a volunteer photography program I founded that received international attention
- Invoice examples and 10+ years of financials (this was NOT required but I included it anyway)

I would say, limit your proofs of achievements to at most the recent 5 years as only that counts.
No need to include 'everything' either. Just excepts of your most remarkable projects would probably suffice.
You may consider a quality business plan, but not necessarily a long one.

(that's the way we did ours.)

Is there anyone that have received AOR in the last 6 months, I know they send letter out saying they have received the application, but have not seen anyone mentioning that they have received AOR since Covid

Hello everyone!
We with wife decided to apply for immigration program Self-Employed.
We are musicians.
We are ukrainian but live and work in China already for 4 years.
We have a question about documents: must we only translate them and notarized or we have to make consular legalization?:
1. Birth certificates;
2. Legal documents showing name or date of birth changes (if applicable);
3. National IDs, family/household registry/book (if applicable);
4. Children's birth certificates (which name their parents);
Thanks!

Hello
you have to just make all the papers in english and for that if documents are not in that format simply translate and notarised.
Process time is too much in now a days for self employed program.it will take approx 3 years.

Nope. Just the "temporary AOR/Hey we got your application" letter
