Hello everyone,

I have been a passive reader of this forum and have gained immensely from all the info shared by everyone. Big thanks to all the active members.

We received our CoPR (Confirmation of permanent residence) today after 3.5 years and wanted to share the timeline and process steps - hopefully will help those waiting to hear about their application

Timeline
12th Mar 2019 Sent application - DHL courier from India to Canada (Nova Scotia office)
19th Mar 2019 Application received at Sydney, NS, Canada
22nd Apr 2019 AOR and biometrics letter received
22nd Apr 2019 Request to link application to online account
29th Apr 2019 Biometrics completed
6th June 2022 Request Letter - Asked to re-submit Police Certificates and a few forms (travel history, Additional family information, Schedule A)
23rd Aug 2022 Medical request
24th Aug 2022 Prearrival service letter
8th Sep 2022 Medicals Completed
29th Sep 2022 Medicals Passed info (update on portal - no email notification)
6th Oct 2022 Information Letter - This was the passport request letter
10th Oct 2022 Submitted passports
21th Oct 2022 Decision made (email received that status has been updated)
25th Oct 2022 Passports & CoPR document received

PCC is valid only for 6 months or 1 year, so we have to submit again.

HI, under which NOC have you applied, and Canada only accepts your file if you are renowned in your field?

Since most of you from 2019 have gotten a decision about your PR application, will they request medical automatically? Or do they only ask for it if they believe you’ll be approved? Seems silly to ask for it and then deny you for something else (not medicals).
