There are lots of options for signing a pdf. You can either use Lumin PDF (Google it and you'll find the website) or Write on PDF, an app that you get from Google Play Store. I use both, depending on where I am. If I'm home, I use Lumin PDF on my laptop. If I'm outside, I use Write on PDF on my phone.

I know you said you submitted your docs already without signatures, and they'll most likely ask for you to sign it. Once, I submitted a consent letter without signatures for GCMS Notes and they couldn't process it. Had to resend it signed.

Thanks all. Just waiting for the UK police certificate to come in, then can submit. Had to submit the PDFs without signatures as there's no way to sign them.

Good news today. I am approved for Permanent Residency.

The final step is that I am now being added to the COPR portal where I can register for my PR card, as I am already inside Canada.

UK Visa Office. Applied as a film camera operator for television.

"Your application for permanent residence is now ready for finalization pending the confirmation
of your permanent residence status. You’ll complete this process through the Permanent
Resident Portal (PR Confirmation)."

Application received: 13 November 2020
Temporary acknowledgement: January 2021
Permanent number received: 29th March 2023
(Biometrics already completed via work permit route and assigned to this application)
ADR, Medical & Pre-Arrival Services: 8th February 2024
Passed Medical: 17th February 2024
Submitted docs: 11th March 2024
Acknowledged receipt of docs: 18th March 2024
Requested to register for COPR: 22nd March 2024

Congrats! That’s amazing news!! Seems like they really sped things up for you in the end after making you wait so long initially!!

I’m also applying from within Canada so I’m interested to see how long the portal stuff takes until eCOPR.

Yes, I'm really surprised - 4 days from receiving the docs and COPR is here. I think perhaps with UK office, it's dead silence until you have an officer and then it's as fast as possible.

It does seem on the forum like the timelines are speeding up for people now. I wish everyone else good luck and quick processing!

Time to celebrate! !

Congratulations! Hoping it'll be our turn soon. We're in Canada too. How long have you been here?

Got AOR and Biometric request. Linked Application online and completed the biometrics. But don't know about visa office and can't see in application.
when did you submit the application and when was your AOR and Biometrics request?, if i may ask?
visa office can sometimes be found at the bottom of the letters ircc sent you.
or you can search for the office responsible for your region on ircc website.
office normally assigned based on your residential address provided in the application form 0008

Good evening, I have read all the comments and from what I can see there is no established timeframe for anything. It's sad to see that so much time is taken to respond and that many of us find ourselves needing to change our plans.

They have already requested medical exams from us, and we have already taken them, but from what I can see, it's almost impossible to know how long it takes to be informed about the next step. One would think that they wouldn't request medical exams unless they consider you eligible, correct? Our timeline so far has been:

- Applications received : March 2020
- Biometrics enrolment: February 2022
- Medical exams requiered, taken and passed : February 2024

Hope to have good news soon! ;)

It does seem to be quite unpredictable in this category! Seems to be a bunch of us stuck in background check awaiting a final decision.

Did they ever request additional documents from you or an updated background declaration or police check?

Where did you apply from?

Good Luck! I hope you get an update soon..you’ve got to be close!
