I'm stuck in background too, anybody get ppr ?

I did my medicals in July 2017 and still no response. I called and they said waiting for an officer to contact you everything is done. but online status says the background in process. I applied my application in August 2016, How long they take? I have to go to India in Feb, I am confused if I should buy tickets or not?
Did anyone got PPR and can share your timeline

July, 2017. My medical exam passed right away but ever since then, there has been no updates

Well, at least you are in Canada! Think positive and I am sure something will come up soon. It's kinda strange that a background check is done on people who are already in Canada and have a valid visa. It further confirms that BG checks are random.

It's been nearly a month now since the medical exam has been updated to "you passed the medical exam".

Nothing else has been updated.

Does this mean we should expect an interview request or a long wait?

Same here...MEP on FEB 27 then no update. It's almost a month today.
