SDS study visa, country India
Biometrics - 6sept 2023
Medical updated - 14 sept 2023
Background check- in process since the start
Eligibility - not yet started
It's more than one and half and my application status has not changed since 14 sept.
Does anyone know how long background check usually takes? Really worried by the wait

Mine says " your application is in process. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility".

My application was submitted on 19 September 2023.
Upfront medical test
Medical and biometric passed and updated on 29 September 2023
Eligibility and background check started on same day when medical got updated.
When can I expect my results??

No one can tell you. Eligibility and background checks can take weeks or months.

I know that but you see other people are getting it even faster then me.
I don't why sometimes people get early and some get late.
Can someone also share their timelines with me.

Some people will get it faster depending on where it is processed, country living in and their profile. Read through the thread and you can read timelines.

I am staying in South Africa and also have permanent residence of here already so is the diplomatic issues of India and canada also gonna affect me??

And like can I expect my results in November or next week?? End of October??

No one can tell you when you will get results. It is a guess. Yes it can be an issue that you are PR of SA and citizen of India. It may take more time for background checks.

I'm a citizen of India and it's about to be 2 months for my application
However other people around me are getting visas in like 20-25 days, but me.
It's really confusing how these things work

Don't know why some get visas so soon as others have to wait for so long.
