Hi,

I am in KKU, Abha.

Wish you a best of luck for your application.

Good news is that very few applications from KSA gets rejected. The success rate is quite high.

Good luck for all of you :)

@ theone - I read somewhere but cant find the link here. That in such cases no need to provide the PCC, just write an explanatino letter about it with your application.

Scanner is right,

Just send them a letter and explain that no police clearece certificates are issued to former resident of KSA.
Most of the people did like this and they were exempted from the police clearce of KSA.

Thanx guys for the reply.

but former legal residents are required to provide a police clearance from Saudi Arabia since 2010. The Canadian embassy will not process my application without it..

That is why it is always a good practice to get a SAudi PCC few days before leaving KSA for good. We never know we might be needing this in the future. Though the validity of the Saudi PCC is only one year, but together with the exit visa stamp (departure date) in your passort these documents are proofs that you have not committed any crime in Saudi Arabia during your stay in the country.

Try to contact the embassy of your country in Saudi Arabia and ask them a certificate that there are no crimes of whatsoever reported in your name into their office during your stay in Saudi Arabia. Then write a letter to CHC explaining why you are submitting a certificate from your embassy in Saudi Arabia instead of a Saudi PCC. CHC knows that Saudi ARabia only issues PCC's to its legal and current residents though in the US and in some parts of the world Saudi Embassies and consulates issues PCC to previous residents of Saudi ARabia. Regards.
