are you an expat, its not coming to my mind that how did you manage to get your PP's from your employer (if you are an expat) ?? Plesae do share as most of us will have to come across this situation and getting PP from your employer is a real uphill task.
The only solution that i have in my mind to handle such a situation, that go back to your country on long vacation and from there you can send your pp to VO.But there arises one question again, that would'nt VO mind us having a valid visa for another country on our PP??I would really appreciate if someone who has come across such a scenario could share his experience here.

Employers are not suppose to keep employees passports with them, however, this has been done by employers here in KSA. But not to the point that they will refuse to give it to the owner if the owner needs it. They do not have the right to refuse if the owner needs it. What employers usually do, like my wife's employer, is that they gave my wife's passport in exchange with the original iqama. They only gave my wife a photocopy of her iqama with the companys stamp on it. Just be sure that your iqama is not expiring in 4-6 weeks from the time you submit your original passport to CHC London for visa stamping.

I used FEDEX and I never had any problem. Other courier companies might be equally efficient. Canadian Embassy in Riyadh is using ARAMEX to pick up passports from their office to be delivered to the owners. They will send you SMS informing you that your passport has been sent to you through ARAMEX and they will also give you the tracking number of the shipment. The following day ARAMEX will call you and will make arrangements with you on how and where you want to receive your passport. Most of the time they will ask you to pick up your passport from their warehouse in Exit 18.

Which is the best courier service to send passports to London.
Approximately how much time is required to get the passports back?
If our passports r send back to Riyadh embassy, should we have to collect it from there.

I haven,t get my passport from the employer yet.Inshallah in the coming week I,ll get it.
I,ve read in the forum before as the employers are not willing to give your passport to you ,make some excuse like we need it for data entry in the embassy or to take some exams etc.
They do keep ur iqama and give u the passport for certain time period.
Hope everything works right for all of us.

Did you also pay amount for " self-address envelope" for return passports from London??? or simply london CIC take care of it for sending passport to riyadh and then to us without charging any cost.

Hi nad
simply take the bank statement of ur account in saudi riyals.
Then convert it in canadian dollars .
U can use universal money exchanger site (showing exchange of riyals to can dollars) .Take its printout and attach with ur bank statement.

i did not do this conversion part and simply took the bank certification letter in SAR and enclosed assuming that they will convert it and check. Is this practice OK ?? please suggest !

In getting Bank Draft in NCB, what are the requirements and data they need?

just iqama, tell them you want it in the name of "Receiver General for Canada", also confirm its validity, usually these are valid upto one year from the date of issue.I am just talking about NCB as i recently got one from them.cheers

let me try and make your life easy, dear look if you have enough of docs for english trans and notary, best way is to send them to pak and get it done from there, if you send now, you will get them back within 10 days max.And if you dont want to do it, i will send you a scaned copy of the format for cnic english translation, just take it to any translator and ask him to fill it and put stamp.
It is always recomended to get the translation notorised, but some translators put very nice seals and have quite impressive letter heads, and also claim that you send their translated docs anywhere in the world without notary, i know one such guy in malaz.
