This is very WRONG, CIC accepts translations from Certified translators only. Translations from applicants and their relatives are not accepted. Your company stamp and letter headed paper does not authenticate your personal translation. There are Chamber of commerce certified translators everywhere, alternatively check any lawyer office close to you for the translation. If do not see anyone around you to do the translation for you, send me your email address inbox , I will send you the office and phone number of some of certified translators in different towns of Saudi Arabia.
Thanks

SEnd me the address of English translators and notary public here in Jubail...thank you...
In sending application forms, Iqama photocopy is to be send or I better translate it first to English before sending/ thanks again...

You can easily obtain an international driving license from any travel/tourism agency in Riyadh. It costs around 150 SAR.

Hope this helps.

For International driving licence go to any office of Saudi Automobile &Touring Association (SATA) www.sataclub.com.sa
I think they need photocopies of Saudi driving license + passport and original photograph.

I am not sure if there is a renewal option and what would be the fees. Better to check with SATA directly.

There is nothing called renewal. You just get a new license valid for one year. Fee is between 100-150 SAR depends on the agency. You get it done in 10 mins time.

Hi guys, good day. I've got a couple question on how the Police Clearance Cert request work in KSA. Can any of you guys give me tips on this.

1. From what I've read, if I choose London as the processing office I will have to wait for them to send me a PCC request, right?

2. If I choose a processing office other than London, I should email riyadh.visa@international.gc.ca and ask them for a request letter. I wanted to obtain the PCC before I submit my application at the CIO. Is it ok for me to ask for a PCC request letter even if I have not yet sent my application?

3. Do I need to obtain PCC for my wife and 16 year old son as well?

If you don't have London VO/Riyadh VO PCC request letter, you can simply obtain a PCC request letter in Arabic from your own country's embassy. Saudi police forensic dept accepts such letters too. I did the same as my letter from Abu Dhabi VO was lost in mail.

You will need PCC for your wife too but not for your son as he is not 18 yrs of age yet.

Asking Riyadh VO won't be very helpful if you haven't applied yet.

Dear Friends,

I am from Pakistan and living in Saudi Arabia since last 3 years. I am preparing the application for FSW program, by myself. I am unclear for a few questions. Kindly if anyone can guide me about the following:

Generic Application Form:
- Area you intent to live (What should I write here, will it effect the processing time?)
- What is the status of applicant in current country of residence (I am here in Saudi Arabia on Iqama Visa, so status will be Permanent Resident, Worker or Any other? )
- What is the status of dependents in current country of residence (My family is on Iqama as well, so same question for them)
- What is and will be the occupation for children under 3 years (What to mention for kid who is currently 2 and half years old)
- What is the language of child under 2 year (What to mention for kid who is currently 2.5 years old and the one who is 1.5 years old)

Schedule A Form:
- Details of Education of Secondary and Post Secondary: I have done BSc, so I will include the only two BSc and HSSC(FSc) or SSC(Matriculation) too?
- Details of personal history (Will we include the wedding as well, if yes, then how will mention the time period. E.g; one is doing job from 01-2010 to 12-2010 and got married in 06-2010)

Thanks in Advance :)

Procedure to obtain Police Clearance Certificate from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Documents Required:
• 3 Copies of Iqamah
• 3 Copies of Passport
• 3 Passport size photographs
• Original Passport
• Original Iqamah
• Print out of the email received from your VO asking you to submit Police Clearance Certificate from Saudi Arabia.

*You may or may not be asked to provide these documents at any time. It is advisable to keep these documents ready with you

STEP I

Consulate of Canada
11th Floor Ali Reza Tower
Madinah Road,
Jeddah 21413

21°30'18.3"N 39°10'58.2"E

Working Hours in Ramadan: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (noon) Sun-Thurs
working Hours (normal days) : 08:00 – 15:30 Sun-Thurs

Take the print out of your email from your VO to Canadian Embassy. Ask them for the request letter for Police Certificate. It is ready by the counter. You just need to fill in your name, nationality and passport number. It's already stamped and signed. The service is free of charge. Estimated time: 5 minutes.

STEP II

Ministry of Foreign Affairs (وزارة الخارجية)
Al Madinah Al Munawarah Rd
Jeddah 22235
Saudi Arabia

21°29'34.5"N 39°11'13.9"E

Working Hours in Ramadan: 9:30 am -3:30 pm

Take this letter to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for attestation. If they inquire about the service you need, reply with “TASDEEQ” . Fee is SAR 30 per letter. Keep the money handy along with your original iqamah and copies of passport and iqamah. You need to take a number and wait for your turn. This might take 1-3 hours depending on the number of people.

Perfomance tip: If you have a wife, take her along. Send her in with the letters. Women do not need to queue up. She will get it done in 3-5 minutes. Do not take your mobile phones into the ministry. Leave them in your car or else you might lose 5-10 minutes extra waiting for depositing your phone with the security people.

STEP III

Police Headquarters –Mekkah Province (مركز شرطة منطقة مكة المكرمة)
Jeddah 22332
Saudi Arabia

21°28'29.1"N 39°12'01.6"E

Working Hours in Ramadan: 9:30 am -3:30 pm

Take the attested request letter to the Police Headquarters. You can drive in and park inside the premises. Ask for the finger printing section (Qasm al Basmah). It is an orange(ish) colored building 100 meters straight up from the entry gate. You can park right next to the building.
Again you need to take a number and wait for your turn. Your wife can walk in without a number. It may take 1-3 hours of wait for you. Your wife will be done with all the process in 15-20 minutes. Keep copies as well the original Iqamah and passport handy.
After you are done with the finger printing process, you will receive a receipt with a date of collection of your Police Cert. This is usually 10-12 days later.
The service is free of charge.

STEP IV

Collect the police certificate on the date specified. Get it translated into english from a licensed translator.

You are done!!! Send it to your VO. Good luck!

I'm trying to figure out to how accurately complete my wife's details as my dependent at #13 in the Generic Application Form.

My wife came to KSA initially as (iqama dependent) and later became a worker.
Her details are as follows;

Worker: 01 Jan 2014 - Jan 2015 (Iqama Expiry date)
Dependent: 01 Jan 2011- 31 Dec 2013

1. Should I declare her as 'Worker' from Jan 2011 to the date of her (Iqama expiry) since 'Worker' was her last iqama type, even though she started out as dependent on 2011?

2. Should I declare her as 'Worker' from Jan 2014 to the date of her (Iqama expiry) completely disregarding her previous status as 'Dependent'? Would this have an impact on anything?

3. Should I declare her both 'Worker' and 'Dependent', if so where should I put the 'Dependent' status?

Has someone experienced or heard of the same situation? Any input is appreciated.
