you can find plenty of translators behind al khobar passport office(it is on dhahran street) or in other words behind al issa souk mall you will get them. for lawyers, you can akrabia area to look for sign holdings mentioning law farms, one is locked at al mohammdia tower, the tower is next to SACO (at akrabia)
Thanks, appreciate the quick response! The only document that I think needs translation is the copy of my Saudi temporary visa in my passport which has expired. I'm not sure if this still needs translation? Also, I'm thinking of not including this page in the passport pages to be submitted as the visa has expired? Please advise..

unless other wise stated in your passport, you dont need to submit the whole passport pages except the BIO pages(info pages) and as far as saudi visa, i have permanent visa on my passport and never submitted a translation of that visa, so not required as far as my knowledge.

In Jeddah, fingerprint dept. is Television Street. They receive between 8 am to 11 am.

The whole process for Saudi PCC is as follows:
1. Take the Letter from the Canadian Consul-General Office on Madina Road in Ali Reza Bldg.
2. With the letter from Canadian Consul-General Office you will go to the ministry of foreign affairs in balad, you stamp it and pay 30 riyals.
3. Then, you go to fingerprint dept. in Television Street. You present this paper with 2 photos, a copy of your iqama, and your fingerprints.
4. After 2 weeks, you will come and take the pcc.
5. Take the PCC to any licensed translator office to get it translated to English. You pay SR 75 to 100 for it.

Planning for October 2014
HopeforCanada,

I'm pretty much in the same boat, did my medicals in Riyadh feb 2013, in feb 2014 they requested re-medicals for my kids "as they have lost the initial one!!!" and last week my lawyer send me an email that VO will be requesting re-medicals after verifying with RMO that they wouldn't grant me 3 months extension.

In many cases they do request re-medicals, few are the cases in which they grant extension to finalize the processing.so be prepared for re-medicals, in this case and after doing re-medicals, most of the cases are being finalized within 3-6 months.

good luck :)

Dear Experts,

I'm Jordanian, born in Saudi Arabia 3 decades ago, and I have been holding my residency since then. I work for an international company here in Saudi and my employment contract is endless. I do traveling quite often for training purposes. Everytime I travel, I obtain an Exit Re-Entry Visa which keeps my residency status in Saudi. My residency will expire in Sep-2014, however, it will be renewed since my employment contract is endless.

I'm applying under FSW2014, my lawyer keeps telling me that I shouly apply via Amman office. When looking at CIC website, processing times are still unknown for Amman office. I suspect that Amman office is overwhelmed with the applications that were transfered from Damascus office (due to the conflict there), so you can imagine the amount of backlog.

I have a few questions, and would appreciate your help:
Q1- Do I qualify to apply via London office since I'm an eligble resident of Saudi Arabia?
Q2. From previous experience of other applicants, which office is faster?

Thanks.
