Hi,

Can we mention gross monthly salary instead of annual salary in our employee reference letter? I resigned from my job in Feb 2017. In the last year of my employment I was on approved unpaid leave for a number of months so my annual salary for the last year is very less and not what I m actually entitled to for my designation. So can I give my monthly salary at the time of joining and at the time of relieving?

I suggest mentioning Annual salary, and in the letter ask your employer to mention the dates that you were in work, and mention the long absence periods and reason for absence. You would need to fill all that info in your history details anyway!

Yes.
Also, you have to clearly mention the period you were on a leave and exclude that from your Work History section. Good Luck!
