The 600 points are just a software thing, i mean it doesn't matter if it were 600 or 1000 or 10000. It is just there to integrate the PNP nominees into the express entry and guarantee invite. They use the same process, they don't want to create a process for nominees in the system with its own scenarios. They thought if we give them 600 points, they can use the same system for application. Targets for PNP's are mutually exclusive with targets of Federal Economic class. They do not affect each other.

HOWEVER, what it affects (maybe) is processing times, but not the numbers of people they want to invite, and hence the cutoff.

Also this is simply my opinion, what is logical for me might not be for you.

Don't take it wrong but I agree to disagree with whatever you have mentioned above!!

Why would i take it wrong?

I accept all opinions based on proper arguments, what is your opinion? The opposite of what i said means that PNP's will affect targets of federal skilled economy.

PNPs have not been given after mid-year. The effect of this might be seen six months down the line, that is , in December and January considering that on average six months are required to receive those 600 points. So now (in October) people who were selected for PNPs in April/May will be entering the pool. This means high cutoff till November.

On the other hand, earlier number of ITAs were 750 on average. Thus people receiving 600 points through PNPs or LMIA accounted for these and cutoffs didn't come down. Assuming the rate of people receiving 600 points remains same and number of ITAs are doubled, 750 more people (apart from those receiving 600 points which make up almost 750) will receive ITAs. This will push the cut off down steadily in next 3-4 draws. After Novemeber when people receiving 600 points will fall down drastically, the cutoff will also drop drastically (assuming 1300-1500 ITAs consistently).

So my prediction for cutoffs are as belows:

5th October: 480-481
19th October: 476-477
2nd November: 473-474
16th November: around 470

And a steep fall into 460s afterwards over the course of two months, Dec & Jan.

Seems like your predictions were bang on! I wonder what your predictions would be now? With the new rules in place and high number of ITAs, do you see it going down to 450 anytime soon?

Wow, you were so right! Please share your predictions for the near future. I'm standing at 460. Any chance for me by January or February?

yes this is correct, because PNP have their own target. The only catch is that PNP will go partly through EE stream and partly through old paperwork stream.
Since there are 2 ways entangled together, it is no easy matter to calculate the amount of applicants to be let in through both of them.
Also, there days, most of the applicants that still use old paper form are PNP.

Tarot Cards, Hamsters and Crystal Balls have all time and again failed. Atleast this person got the scores right for 3 draws!

i'm not sure anyone can predict with any certainity as to how the draws for the next one will look like, with the new changes in the EE system calculations...

i know we keep saying next draw will be very interesting... well - next draw will TRULY be very interesting... LOL
