Hello!
Our documents just landed in Rome!
Fingers crossed!!!
I hope that my husband's scanned passport will be enough and that they wont ask for the original to be sent..!
Good luck to everyone else as well!
Actually another december 2013 applicant from Rome got his pr yesterday. Maybe my pr is going to be asked hhis week or is sent via mail... I don't know what is going on with Rome...commonlawsponsor said:Achilles (?) your wait is killing me! I'm checking online everyday to see and update for you here.
If the wait is driving me nuts for your application I can't imagine what it is going to be like when/if my status updates to in process. ???
Also, I can't imagine how tense you must be! ???
I don't know what to say... Hope we are going to have our pr soon because my wife and I are going crazy...commonlawsponsor said:How are you holding out? Knowing you are close must be tense!
We can't complain about the wait times though! The Rome VO is constantly impressing me with how fast everyone's seems to be going.
I wish there are not any red flags for all of us!! By the way did your ECAS update your medicals?commonlawsponsor said:Well if electra.andriana's timeline is any indication you should be hearing soon!
Hopefully it will all be over with before you know it!
Nope.. No medical update for us too..commonlawsponsor said:No update yet. Does ECAS mention anything about your medicals at this point?
Yes I discovered this as well. But when I found a way to get a pre-paid envelope for TRV, they sent back the envelope, unused, and couriered it back to us. I guess it was included in the price (?) but I think my husband will just go get the PR in person in Rome. Does anyone know if this can be done? I don't trust the post...Yaelloni said:Passport update: It took Rome one calendar week with my husband's passport to issue the PR visa, from when it was received till when we got confirmation it could be picked up. Now we just have to get it shipped back to him (none of the courier companies could wrap their heads around the concept of pre-paid shipping envelopes...I have no idea how anything ever gets accomplished in Italy) and we're good to go!
BTW as none of the couriers had ever heard of the pre-paid shipping envelopes and we didn't want the passport sent back in the regular mail, we included a letter with the passport asking them to notify us when it was ready so we could pick it up (ie. call DHL). It sounds like they would've sent it in the regular mail otherwise so if anyone else runs into this problem it's worth a try.
