Thx to you guys creating this tread .I have been following.I am been sponsored through rome office too.
I sent app on november application recieved on Dec 9 ,approval letter sent on jan 10.
On the permanent residence is written we recieved application on December 9.on line 2 medicals recieved with no date.what do u guys think .coz the dates are weird.

Hello menace. Welcome to our thread. So. You sent your apps on November. You got your AOR on Dec 9 and then? Your SA on Jan 10? Why it took you so long for your SA? Was there any problem with your apps? Where are you from? Do you want me to add you on our spreadsheet? Sorry for the long post

Hi menace this is normal. They received your app in Mississauga on Dec 9. You got SA in normal time limits and Medicals received never has a date next to it.

The next step you should be looking for is your eCAS to say In Process. It should be happening soon as Axxis also applied in Dec and they just started processing his application.

Finally. Some good news for us... Today our ECAS updated to in process...We started processing ......... application on April 8, 2014

Wow! Congrats! That is pretty fast, I'm impressed. How long does it usually take to process everything? (Maybe based off of other offices? Or even Rome?)

No medical received... It usually takes 1 to 2 months for Rome VO.

Thx guys I am living in Italy .I don't have any problems with the the documents I sent .my only problem I was concerned is why under the applicants part ,The rome office recieved my app on dec 9 and under sponsorship section ,it was also recieved on dec 9 but they sent the SA on January 10.
On sponsorship status is decision made and permanent status is application recieved

It's like that for everyone. They put the date the application was received in Mississauga, not Rome.

Rome tends not to send an AOR for when THEY receive the applicant's application. So until you see In Process for eCAS for the applicant, you are still in queue to be reviewed.

However, based on your dates, that should be very soon!

I totally agree with Canadian_belle1. But I think that in this month they are going to ask you for your passport without in process update. I've seen that in the past here in this forum. They overtake the in process update and go straight to the decision made.

Hi everyone,

Just a note that the August applicant I was worrying about finally got PPR on April 3rd so she is on her way to getting her Visa. She is already in Canada with her partner so it should just be a matter of time. Her case seems more prolonged than most, most other people I spoke to on here got everything done around the 6 or 7 month mark.

Let's hope we all get quick processing as well ;D

We're ready to send his passport, but not the original since Greece is a visa exempt country, but colored photocopies of the entire passport instead.

Does anyone know if we should include anything else apart from the passport? Any other documents?

I'm not really sure about the exact dates because they are not mentioned in the ecas but i think that
"Sponsorship Application Status" was updated to "Desicion made" in September 2013
and
Medical Received update in ecas was around October 3rd 2013.
