PPR, MyCIC profile just got updated and application status changed to Approved.

And here some interesting info for you guys:
After 5.5 month since AOR I ordered GCMS notes, got those notes after 25 days and inside notes I find that 5 weeks after my AOR date,
Rome visa office sent request for RPRF and photos. I didn't got anything from them, not in spam folder nowhere.
I submitted WebForm to check status of my file.
After ~15days I got email from visa office asking me to submit RPRF, photos and passport copies to their office AGAIN in 30 days.
First time I didn't received any emails from them , also in MyCIC account no messages beside AOR letter.

Anyway this is the end for me in this long long road to get approved to immigrate to my New Home in Canada!

My Advise: order GCMS notes and check your file!!!
If I had ordered notes 4 months ago, I can be right now in Canada already.

Best luck to all of you!

Faleminderit!
I applied on June 22nd. My husband's application was sent to Rome on Aug 18th, today I received passport request. I know people whose application got approved in 3 -4 months time. So you never know with Rome. I think Rome is working faster now. You should be done within 6 months.
Hi alb007,how long took rome to send back your passport with visa ?

Unfortunately, Not all of us have relative in canada that can order those notes..

Can you please share how those notes are build?

When you say
Rome visa office sent request for RPRF and photos
from what email address they requested it?

Thanks!

I don't have any relatives in Canada, you can order your notes here for 25$ http://www.visafile.info/ as I did.

They sent email from ROMEIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ! ! !

So, a Canadian dude or an Agency (http://www.visafile.info/) maybe,

found a way to make extra money from desperate people who don't have friends/relatives in canada..

Actually this GCMS costs 5$ ......

see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

My friend, Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe, this service is not governmental at all..

If so, it is very suspicious that they answer from RVO email address........

still waiting for PPR

So after multiple tries, my wife was able to link my CIC account to my application.
It says the following:
Application/profile status - Open
Review of eligibility - Review in Progress
Review of medical results - Passed
Review of submitted documents - [Nothing here ]
Scheduling an interview -Not needed at this time
A background check - Not started
Final decision - Not Started

So i was wondering it took them 4 months and still they have not
decided about my eligibility? Does this mean more waiting time than usual?
Anyway congrats to everyone who received their Passport request.

We included a prepaid return with the passport. That is how Rome recommends in their email when they ask for the passport. Do you live in Italy?
