Romanian Timeline - In Process

Hi every one!

Is there anyone still waiting to be "in process" or is just me? I`m entering the 7th month and not a sign from the VO. All together 10 months since we applied. Any updates anyone?

Hello! I'm starting the 8th month since file transfer and no news yet! Did you receive an AOR from Bucharest? I haven't. On e-cas the last update was around August, when they added "Medicals received" and now I'm waiting... :'( :'( :'(

Have you tried ordering your GCMS notes to see where they are at?

We didn`t receive AOR, only sponsorship approval so I guess the file was transferred after this. We ordered GCMS notes about 2 weeks ago and waiting for the results. Why they even didn`t look at the file for so long? Or they did and left it on a side. I have no idea what is going on and just wish this will end up soon.

I never received an AOR either. The first thing I had heard from them was the medicals received. After that point, the next thing I noticed was that my husband's mailing address changed to mine (as I was his representative), and then in-process was the next change noted. They didn't communicate much with us.

Did you see yet that the processing time for Bucharest has changed to 11 months?! At the rate things are progressing I won't imagine what would be at the end of 2013 ??? Maybe they want to discourage the candidates because it's really strange especially for this procedure created to reunite the separated people, isn't it? The true is there are lucky people and others who take the sh.....

Anyway, take care of your health because this quantity of stress is really dangerous!

Holy shit! I can't believe how much it has increased since almost a year ago. WOW! It's interesting, because they actually have less and less family class applications every year, but the processing times increase. I wonder if it has to do with the changes to other parts of immigration (working applications etc).

I hope that your process will end sooner than this!!

Thank you for your wishes but my process is taking 1 year and 2 months at the moment (1 year in Bucharest). I have my GCMS and there is no an objective reason to be so long. Just the file was on stand by position for about 8 months.

I saw the change last night and I couldn`t say anything...actually plenty of "nice" words which are not for here. I am trying to find logical explanation but I can`t.

Well, I was waiting for the new processing times before deciding when to ask for the GCMS notes. So maybe at the end of March if I don't hear from them until then.

One reason would be the closure of other embassies about an year ago. If at that time they were in charge with Romania and Moldova, now they are processing at Bucharest VO applications from Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria. Or maybe they are preparing a little surprise, as they did for parents' sponsorship and skilled workers and they want to blame the "backlog".

I was expecting the times to be around 11 or 12 months this year (from what I saw on this forum) so I'm not surprised. I went through every stage so far: denial, anger, bargain, right now I'm either at the 4th step (depression) or the last one (acceptance). Either way, I'm out of tears. It's been a year of wishful thinking which every time ended up in despair. They know where to reach me.

I think there are a lot of different pressures put on VO's by our 'updates' to the system, and something's got to give. I hope you all hear very soon!
