Romanian Timeline - In Process

) Save some champagne for when you get here. We have relatives in Montreal so I maybe we'll toast to both our successes really soon.

I'm hoping that after Easter the VO will pick up their game a little. My wife is already getting interviews but can't start working without paper. All in good time, I guess.

Everything it's coming in the God time.... .

I hoped to be in Quebec by now, aside my husbund, as it should be, but God's plan it's different than ours all the time; then we made a change of plans (daca Mahomed nu vine la munte, vine muntele la Mahomed.... ) =this is a proverb in Romanian guys= translation=("if Mahomed could not come to the mountin, then the mountin comes to Mahomed") I am going to see my husbund very soon for a whole month, he is coming in Europe ;D we are going in vacation ;D, maybe in the mean time my vissa will be issued and I will be able to join my husbund in Canada...but you know, we make plans but God has his plans for each one of us... .

This is for now, but what the future will reserve for us, we are going to see... .

We are going to have some champagne any time soon, all of us!

Amen to that! God is great and He is in control. We trust Him with this process so it's all good.

I can only imagine how happy you are to be with your husband for a full month. And spring is beautiful in Romania. The waiting will end before you know it ;D

And today we got another small nugget of information from the VO: "We started processing XXXX's application on April 5, 2012". They seem very diligent with keeping ecas updated now. Strange but welcome )

It's good to know that CIC it's really working on your case and they updated the site with every information, I think once they start processing your file then it's really quick.

The end it's closer than you think, usually we get news exactlly when we are expecting less, so be prepared.. ;D.

Not so beautiful in Romania at this moment, it was a long winter and now Spring is quite shy I would say, the other day was 26° in Quebec and here it wasn't more than 18° very grey, but in May I think will be beautiful, though, I will see my husbund in Paris and then we are going to travel a bit, a bit of Swithzerland, south of France and Italy in the end, me and my husbund we are great adventures, I would say more, that my husbund teach me how to love traveling, once you are use to this you become addicted.. ;D.

All the best Torro, to your wife as well, I think she is very happy with all this good news about your file, her file....dose she lives with you there at this moment or is living in Romania (you said the other day that she is getting interviews already for a job so I was wondering how did she do, how did she applied for a job?)

Given that you have submitted applications to the Bucharest VO, I am wondering if you have any insight into these questions.

Do you know if the Bucharest VO has a preference for pictures as original pictures, or are they also okay with them printed in a microsoft word document (or something of the sort).

Regarding the translations - are the bulletin and passport both considered to be already translated into English (I know there are one or two words not translated into English on the bulletin)?

Lastly, the address of my husband's family is in a village outside of Rosiori de Vede. I am not sure if this is considered a 'full' address, if it just contains sat. (name of sat), com. (name of com), and jud. Teleorman. I am not sure if there is a postal code, or a better way of describing this address. My husband says there are no street names in the village, so it is impossible to provide an address as I would provide for my home in Canada.

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

And YAY for the upcoming celebrations!!! I hope things go very quickly for all of us.

Hey Charlize!

The preferences of the VO are as big a mystery as their approval process ) But pictures are acceptable both as pictures and as printouts from word or pdf.

We have not submitted translations of the pass and the id card (buletin) and the address is what it is. It's meant for the local postal service to find the addressee so as long as his mail will reach him it's all good. But ideally you will provide email addresses also to speed up communication with your husband.

Other than that be as accurate and detailed as you can be. And don't procrastinate - we sent our application 3 months later than we should have (

Hello CharlizeRai,

Romanian ID card (buletin) and passport are trilingual,also the birth certificate is, you have to subbmit this one too. Certified copies of all three papers no need for translations.

Postal cod for Rosiori de Vede, Jud. Teleorman is 145 100, but if your husbund's family lives in a village outside of Rosiori de Vede could be a different cod. When someone lives into a village you have to write down only the house's number and the name of the village in your forms and of course the postal cod if there is one (I think has to be one since is a village where peole live and there is a post office...)

Hello all!

A small update on ecas today on my status; after such along wait ecas shows under the application recieved status.."medical results have been received".

No "in the process" though, but I hope it's not long untill my staus will cange in "the process".. .

That's good news. You know that they are updating your file, looking at it, checking against their requirements. An answer can't be far behind!!

We have an update too. My wife paid the embassy a visit and as a result they are actively working on her file. Yeyyyyyyyyyyy! Praise GOD!

Now, I have a small concern though, PPR ;if I am going to travel for a whole month I will need my passport, ok I can travel without it in Europe but in Swithzerland I am going to need it.

If I will get passport request during my vacation, do you think if it's possible to fly by myself to Bucharest and get my visa in a day or two?

My spouse went to visit the Canadian Embassy in Bucharest to clarify the last few questions we need to respond to, and they were not helpful in the slightest. It's unfortunate that nobody seems to provide answers.

On that note. Have you heard of CIC contacting the sponsored individual's roommates? My husband lives with a couple that is a friend of his parents' in order to be closer to his job in Bucharest. This couple was inquiring whether or not they are going to be contacted, or visited at their home at all. Have you heard anything about this?

So VO Bucharest dosen't give you a full answer, maybe the only way to find out the corect answer is to write directlly to my VO. I will do so if it would be the case.

As for to answer of your question; no CharlizeRai, I've never heared of something like that.

CIC I don't think would contact someone only if they have concerns about something. (my opinion, but we don't really know how they work)

I've heared once, on this forum, from someone who applied inland for her romanian's husbund, she said that her husbund was contacted by CIC becouse they couldn't find his relatives, he was no longer living in Romania from a long time and then he didn't keep in touch with his family, therefore the adresses he provided in the forms were no longer corect.
