Self Employed or Business Document:


Below Docs are required:

3rd party means ur clients/customers from whom u will require to take the ref letter that u used to do (means ur work letter).

Additionally u need to submit the check/any kind of money receipt that u have been given by ur customers as a proof of ur business....


"Its true 3rd party means your clients. Documents you may attach with application for proof are:

1) Invoices/Bills you have raised to your clients.
2) Your Bank statement as a proof of fees or payment received from your clients.
3) If your clients have deducted TDS in that case attach form 16. (This will be rock solid proof)
4) Your I.T. return.
5) If you have one or two clients then provide the reference letter from them that what kind of work are you doing for your clients? In that cover major duties of your occupation as mentioned in NOC. If you have too many clients then provide reference letters from your few major clients.

Invoices and reference letters are must to prove that you are self employed. out of rest try whatever you can manage. If you are going to attach bank statement in that case pls make sure it does not contradict with the proof funds you provide. "

Now according to latest IMM5563E form you can even pay fees online if you are not living in Canada and there is no need to fill any credit card form. Pay fees online, get receipt, fill it and then scan and attach with application. Its very easy. Go to section C of the following form then follow other links given below.

"there's no specific guideline. I know people who opened a bank account on day 1, kept the money in day 2, took statement on day 3 took the statement and finally got VISA!! then again, there are people who were asked for the source of large amount of money deposited in a short period of time!! it completely varies from Officer to Officer who checks our application. In many cases POF was asked twice (at the beginning & at the end of the process), but in that particular 3 day case, they didn't ask for anything.
my suggestion is, prepare your application quick and send it quick, fall within the cap, that's the best shot. and till now I haven't seen a case getting rejected due to lack of funds. they do check the money in some cases and ask for explanation, but till now I personally haven't seen such(rejection) case. so, do not worry about the funds that much, as long as the money is yours or u have strong logical explanation, no harm will be done, that's for sure.

CIC is currently working on applications received on the 20th May 2014.
You will have to wait for another few months(Oct-Dec) to get a reply from them
if they speed up their processing time.
It is really a waiting period.
