I printed I94 online, but I have

repeated 2 entries of Departure as in Why is that 18 May is occuring twice..Im confused.

departure 18 May 2012 Left USA
arrival 8 april 2012 After entering USA from Canada
departure 18 May 2012 ----- This is incorrect, it should be something like in Jan 2012.
arrival 15 Jan 2012 ---- After entering USA from Canada

Do we need to attach all these Entry/Exit Documents Printout while applying for Citizenship?

Department should be canada border services agency

Select Privacy act as Acess to information Act costs around $5.

departure records are not always recorded properly if you depart by land. You can check i94 faq on the following website:

https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/

You might have travelled by land and that's the reason why sometimes departure dates are not recorded properly.

You are not required to send cbsa or cbp records with initial citizenship application.

Then...How do I have it fixed. Because you can travel couple of times in 6 months, they don't stamp the passport and Both the records CBSA and CBP have this..it means I was in Canada for 2-3months and arrived USA in the middle and then left USA in May.

I had same issue and I don't know how to fix it however, match CBP entries with CBSA entries and that's how it will show that when you entered USA and when you entered Canada.

Just ignore departure dates. Just remember i94 website states that land departures are not recorded properly all the time.

Usually USA CBP i94 arrival dates should be correct and so would be CBSA arrival dates. Just match them both and compare it with your dates you have noted personally and see if these are correct.

If they (CIC) tell you not do something why would you? I guess you're probably trying to avoid RQ'd but this is what the guide states about your question:

Question 9D
Check Yes box to authorize the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to provide your “history of entries to Canada” to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). By selecting Yes you are also authorizing CIC to collect the history of your “entries into Canada” from the CBSA and to use the information provided by the CBSA in order to determine your citizenship eligibility.

If you choose No, you may be asked to provide additional documents later in the process which could delay the processing of your application. Please do not contact the CBSA to request your “history of entries”.

I did that because since Pearson airport launched the electronic scan for PRs n citizens my passport doesn't get stamped when I enter Canada. I just have stamps for originating country . So let's say I came back from Rome to Toronto - I only have a stamp on my passport from Rome. That's fine - the only caveate is sometimes the flight landed late next day - so technically you were out of Canada one additional day than what the stamp on your passport (from Rome) says.

Just to be on the Safe side it got the report and tallied and re tallied the numbers to make sure it was right.

If you have flight tickets or boarding pass you should submit that too as supporting documents.

In addition to this, one of my friend submitted an excel sheet where he mapped all the stamps in his passport to travel dates, destination and the page number on which the stamp appeared. It's a bit of work but worth it if you like to travel and have quite a few vacation trips to international locations and not necessarily to your home town

My two cents.

I totally understand your point and I agree with you. I was under the impression that there was some consideration one way or another to submit the "report" with your application. Of course that is a big NO NO. It's true, Pearson does NOT stamp passports, actually no airport in the US does it any more either...at least not in my experience.

Regarding the flight landing next day, my suggestion is to look at your actual flight itinerary. If you left one country 48 hours before entering at point of entry in Canada, you were out of Canada two days period. Lol ;D, am laughing because I also struggled with this date/time out of the country issue. Just keep your boarding passes to prove when you actually departed/exited if the stamps are not in your passport. I guess in this case, yes the "report" will come in handy at the interview. Assuming they accord you a chance to show it, not withstanding some CIC officers uncanny ways. Shhhhh.

All the best my friend...you have very little to be concerned about in my humble opinion.

Glad that you understood my point and could relate to it personally!

The only issue with flight itineraries is that they are no good if your flight was cancelled and you had to stay back for another night (happened to me !) - so in your example that 48 hours ends up becoming 72 hours. Now you have three options - 1) remember that "oh yeah... !!! My flight from New York was indeed cancelled due to weather and I landed a day later than what my itinerary says and You damn well make sure your memory doesnot fail on you 2) don't trust your memory at all and get the CBSA report 3) leave it for your Citizenship officer to figure out that you f'd up your residence calculator. ;D

Looks like you guys are deviating from the whole question...
I wanted to know, if both of them have a record like that..it simply shows, that I was still in canada for few days [As such there's no stamp] and as per i94. If thats the case...But Yes, I do want to make sure that I enter the proper dates that match than put a Guess date while doing Residence Calculation and then take the Printout..
And offcourse, this will help me in knowing in advance how many days I can afford to have a vacation abroad.

But, it looks like there's not much I can do it..if its recorded like that..as per CBP(i94) I have arrived twice and departed Once.

Do you have your boarding pass ? If so, then get the dates from the BP. US stamps are funny - and in my case some of the stamps were missing I just relied on my boarding pass, eTickets and the CBSA report to do the resident calculation accurately.

Also you want to make sure that you have a good buffer between the actual number of days you resided in Canada and the minimum requirement. So that even if your numbers are off by a day or two you are still covered.

Ordering CBSA records and CBP records is for your personal record. You are not required to send it to CIC.

Ordering CBSA records will provide you information that you can tally with your personal sheet to compare your actual entries and remembering the days when you actually went outside canada and thus updating the residence calculator properly.

I ordered it for myself because i wanted to check my day trips.
I have a personal excel sheet for overnight stays in usa and overseas and that what i have mentioned in online residence calculator. I also cross checked my cbsa entries to ensure that entries are correct both on Canada and USA side. however, i ordered cbsa records to see if I can also match my day trips and and in case RQ is issued I can mention my day trip information as well.

Frankly speaking, if I would have known in the beginning when i immigrated to Canada that Residence Questionnaire requires day trip information as well, at that point of time, I would have started keeping record of my day trips as well thus eliminating the need of CBP or CBSA records.
