Hi all, Wanted to thanks everyone on this forum ,especially seniors..my journey finally came to an end.I had my oath ceremony today. Great feeling.. I am proud to be a Canadian now. I wish everyone the very best :)..It's going to happen sooner than you think!

Confusion.. Before applying for OCI, we should obtain Surrender Certificate ? Also, they need original as well as photocopies of document ? It's huge document checklist.. Date of Birth Certificate ? and CORP (original) needs to be submitted as well? Please clarify seniors.

II think it's better to write coworker than friend sometimes due to seniority? friends is more like hanging out..so i clearly indicates how much the person would know..or it doesn't really matter>?

I wouldn't care either..but I am more concerned if they call them..and I wrote family doctor and they say friend . And for other one I write coworker they say friend vice versa. It can make things weird..

What do we write if reference is Friend who is also a coworker ? Do we say Friend or Coworker in Relationship ? And Same if they are family doctor? Does relationship is Family Doctor. Please clarify?

Asking references like these is really annoying..people themselves don't talk much over here due their own insecurities and trust issues..and then reaching old people..is difficult when not in touch life changes. I thought of getting it from the bank..but the aren't of any help either.

I am facing some problem getting in touch with references. They are either out of town on vacation or they are not citizens and some I don't know them for more than 2 years. What I should do now..if I have to apply for passport. Are there people having similar issues..?
