My brother in law lives in Canada. Will that prevent me from getting a visa? How can I prove strong ties? My parents live in my country and I've a home.

I have my real sister citizen of Canada...what I understand is that one needs to be honest, it prevents comlications ...show proper funds ,strong ties to home country, and a very good letter of content...I hope it will help.. it helped me with blood relative in Canada and I submitted her citizenship copy along my application..but if you don't have any immediate or blood relative in Canada you don't need to mention.. .wish you good luck!

Brother in law is not a blood relative so don't even bother about thinking about it,, if ur sister is still in homeland don't worry,, my sister is Canadian citizen but now living in Kuwait I got visa without any problem so don't worry,, ur parents are ur biggest home tie,, then property and other stuff,,

My sister's immigration application is in process now. My brother in law is a permanent resident. How can I not mention him, isn't he closely related to me?

What are the things I should in the letter of content to make it really good?

you cant hide and you don't need to hide...all your details will be saved for future immigration as record....and when you need to gain favour of points ..you cant..because you didn't mentioned....seriously.my experience is to go honestly ...I applied with real sister as citizen and has got my study permit approved ,infact I stated all information very honestly...rest is on God,....you can take seniors opinion as well...I shared my personal experience.

Bro when u apply online it asks that do u have any family member PR or citizen of Canada,, brother in law is not ur family member,, and ur sisters application is still in process so she is still nothing,,, and if u apply paper application u have to give ur family info in family form u have to give ur siblings addresses just give Pakistani address and ur good to go

Extremely bad advice. CIC probably knows that the brother is in Canada, you lie, misrepresentation, 5 year ban.

I truly understand that thats not the best advice but i am not asking him to lie just dont tell the truth, and I really didnt understand his question, but if he is going to same province where his brother is living wht should one do, any better ideas? that will be helpful

What is the difference between lying and not telling the truth?
