Rejection from CIO

Dear All,

I applied under NOC - 0213 occupation. After three months i have received following rejection email from CIO:

"
Dear Sir:

We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker Class on 18 March 2010.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008. These instructions specify that only applicants who have an offer of Arranged Employment, applicants who are legally residing in Canada for at least one year as a Temporary Foreign Worker or an International Student, or applicants who have work experience in certain listed occupations are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.



For the reasons outlined above, your application does not meet the requirements of the Ministerial Instructions and your application is not eligible for processing.

The fees that you have paid are refundable. You will receive a cheque within eight to
twelve weeks at the address provided in your application. If you have changed your address please advise us immediately of the new address. Address changes should be faxed to (902) 270-3561.
Please note: The Fax number listed above is solely for the purpose of providing an updated address. Any communication/queries other than an updated address to this Fax number will not be actioned.

X This correspondence also acknowledges receipt of your Fee Payment Form (Imm5620)
authorizing CIC to take payment of processing fees using the credit card details provided.
Since your application is not eligible for processing, the credit card was NOT charged and no charges will appear on your credit card statement.

My Question is , I can not see list of reasons for rejection which they usually mention in detail. I prepared my Job Description very carefully for NOC - 0213 and made sure that all required duties are listed as part of Job description. I have 2 and Half years of IT manager experience and Overall 5 and Half years of experience. Any thoughts ?

This is not clear why they rejected your application...Most likely if you are using only 1 condition as to be in NOC list...there must be chances that they have not realize the 70% of job duties matching with your job profile.....Dont worry ..Just apply again by making sure that you must have atleast 70% of job duties as mentioned in NOC list details

Is there possibility that i have overall less experience which is 5 and Half years ? Because i m sure my job duties were compliant with NOC - 0213.

You only need " 1 " year experience to qualify for F.S.W. so problem should be somewhere else. Check to see if that NOC is included in the 38 list.

0213 is in the list, of course.

It is very strange that no reasons listed.
It might be a glitch in the system, as they prepare letters from a template.

Hi guys,

I was able to talk with Call Center Agent this evening. She took my File No. and told me the details why my application was rejected. I actually listed two occupations 0213 - Computer and Information Systems Managers ( This is listed occupation in 38 occupations ) and 2171 -Information Systems Analysts and Consultants ( That is not listed occupation) in my application. As i was of view that, i need only 1 year of experience in Listed occupation.

I have 2 and Half year of experience in 0213 (Listed Occupation) and 3 years in 2171 (Non-Listed Occupation) . She told that my application is rejected

1 - Due to inclusion of non-listed occupation ( 2171) and
2 - My mentioned job description of 0213 does not correspond with their list of duties ( I think this can be the main reason).

Although i have reviewed my application carefully again and have mapped my job description with their requirement and it satisfies the Occupation requirements. I am not sure why the Case Officer was unable to find substantial evidence.

Then I don't understand what they want to see in the NOC , Only the listed NOC i.e. 0213 ? if yes then what about the rest of the experience ?

It is not clear how you did it. But I can guess that you listed them for overlapping time period.
You have to be very careful about overlapping periods: study-work, work-work and study-study. Because when they overlap one of them will suffer.
Meaning that there are 8 working/studying hour a day. Therefore study-work will be as 4 hours +4 hours or at best 8+4/4+8. It will not be counted as 8 hours + 8 hours for sure.

No, they only return a letter and demand draft, if u paid via demand draft.
