Is there anything like if the officer doesnot find convincing he/ she will send us back from there to India...??

pls help me clearing my doubts....

getting a visa means you are ready to enter canada..........all the requirements are checked when you submit your file at chc..........so no sending back......i read about it (what are the things the immigration officer checks in Canada airport....??)but not here,in ielts forum

1. You should be ready to show the following documents:

- a valid passport or travel document
- the letter of introduction from the visa office that you received when your study permit was approved (this letter contains your permit -reference number and the CBSA officer needs this letter to issue your study permit)
- a valid temporary resident visa (if required)
- a copy of the letter of acceptance from the school at which you are permitted to study
- proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada and
- letters of reference or any other documents recommended by the visa office where you applied.

2. If you have your documents complete then you don't have to worry.

Check some experiences

The immigration check people whether in India or Canada or anywhere in world have no authority to send some one back. Their only work is to verify authenticity of Passport and visa, nothing else. So don't worry . They can't do anything.

Letters of reference are pertinent to criminal inadmissibility and rehabilitation.

A person who is involved in criminal activities is required to show Letters of reference, at POE, about his good character, which would show that new crimes are not likely to be committed.

Quote: "A rehabilitated person is someone who satisfies an immigration officer that they are not likely to become involved in any new criminal activity. If you have committed or been convicted of a crime outside Canada, you may be eligible for individual or deemed rehabilitation to enter Canada."

it doesnt matter where ur POE is as long as u have all the right documents and everything is in order it shouldnt matter where u land alberta ontario quebec. u will get study permit at which ever POE u arrive.

That's not entirely true. One can be denied entry into the country at the POE even if you have a valid visa. The CBSA officer has the authority to deny you entry even with a valid visa. So all is not done until you come out of the airport with your study permit in hand.
