refuse to sponsor my wife what to do please help

hello . got letter today and it say am not elegible to sponsor my wife cuz am in social assistance but am in disability, how can I appeal on this and where please am so sure and waiting for my income tax return paper proving am not in social assistance but am on disability

please anyone know which and where office I can appeal for this?

I guess you would need to answer the questions of how did you apply, outland or inland, why do they think you are on social assistance? what kind of disability are you drawing on? They usually have reasons for doing the things they do, notice the USUALLY modifer there, so something must've tripped them to thinking you were getting social assistance ....

Hopefully someone can help you and tell you where to go next, however, even if you are unable to appeal this, you should receive back all the other funds minus the $75 you paid for the sponsorship paperwork. You can then get it cleared up and start again if necessary, so there is always hope.

applying inland , kinds of disability I belong to am still looking iwill have to get the paper tomorrow on the office for this . right now I don't know if I have brain cuz of the bad news but like you said there is always hope . thank Alurra71 am figuring what to do on this application now are they going to send back my envelope to me ?

Are you sure you didn't apply outland? A decision was made for your application very quickly. Where did you send your application package? Mississauga or Vegreville?

This means you applied outland - not inland.

You can be accepted as a sponsor if you are on disability, or welfare because of disability. But you will have to submit documents showing that it is because of a disability, and explain in your application.
Once you get the application back, I would just reapply, explaining clearly that you are on disability, and showing proof. Maybe contact your MP and see if they can be of any help - some will help a lot, it just depends on the MP.
