Hello everyone, asking for a friend.

is it possible for a refugee claimant (still waiting for hearing date) to study a course more than 6 months in Canada without getting in trouble with the immigration.?

the course is 8 months duration.

Very simple if more then 6 months then study permit required and for study permit need college/university accepting letter but for less then 6 months just start your course without any problem

I helped him inquired from different colleges in ontario. Majority of them told me many refugee claimants are doing course above six months without study permit.

That is illegal so I am very surprised they would admit this. Doing something illegal as an asylum applicant is not a smart idea when you have so much at risk. Follow the laws. Doing courses that are under 6 months usually aren't going to lead to good career opportunities.
