Hello Friends

The last time I used this forum was a few months ago now, my IELTS score wasn’t great so I decided to go the CEC route. Just received AOR, Horray!!!.

I know we would all love a fast application so I was wondering what I could do next to get this going quicker!?. I been told the ask for Police checks next, this could take a month to do. So Why not get it done now and send when they ask?

Any one else done this?

A big question also is upfront medicals, I know they use a electronic system now when they request it to be done. I know the older paper one can be done. I just hope I wouldn’t be one of the unlucky ones who’s app went missing in the system :(

Any one with any tips on any of these questions?

Thank you friends

I am not sure about the upfront medical,, however if you haven't applied for Pcc, apply ASAP and send it.. You don't have to wait until they request..... The question is where you have to send?

Oh thank you

Yes that’s question I do know the answer to, I would have to send it to Ottawa

From RCMP website:

** Applicants for immigration to Canada must enter the name and address of the Canadian Immigration Center, Embassy, Consulate or High Commission handling the case in the "Name and Address of Contributing Agency/Dept" portion of the C216C.

As long as you know the correct name and correct address it should be fine.

I thought this was a police check form our home country?, or is it a canadian police check?

I see. Well, that one I included when I applied and it's almost always required. It's also the one that takes more time, sometimes months. I suggest you start the application for that ASAP since you've already got your AOR.

The RCMP one is not mandatory, but CIC might ask you for it. It's done relatively quickly so no rush, unless they explicitly ask for it.

I would suggest not to do medicals in advance.

The only reason people want to do up-front medical, is to save some time later. That is the ONLY positive side of it. But i think the negative sides outweighs the positive (not negative, more like troubling). Besides CIC may ask you to submit your medical again before PPR. So i really don't see the point of doing it early. Also medicals have an expiring date :P

Thanks Guys

I will get that police check done now, yeah your right maybe meds arent worth it. Are there any members who have? good to hear your story.

Thanks friends
