Reasons for Rejection

Hi All,

So I got a rejection letter saying that the noc I picked and the job description provided on the letter of reference doesn't match (noc 1221 as project coordinator).
The problem was, when we wrote the letter, we didn't want to provide too much information, since I didn't have my technologist license yet, and try to match the job description in the noc 1221, when actually I was doing the technical job.
Do you think it's possible to re-submit the letter of reference and try to re-open my case?
Please help, I've been living here for 10 years, and always have problems with immigration. I'm so frustrated, my visa is up in October.
Many many thanks all

Ask the employer to rewrite a reference letter according to CIC's taking into consideration the number of working hours.Afterwards resubmit the letter to CIC through a CSE. How come they accepted the nomination without the number of working hours ?
In the letters, the employer confirmed permanent, full-time jobs. Are there any people have the same experience. Thanks

So you are saying your job was actually not NOC 1221, and u want to now submit a new letter for another NOC? or a new letter for the same NOC?

if u can get a better letter might be worth a try atleast, although maybe include a letter of explanation saying if you are changing the duties etc on the new letter or that might be misrepresenatation

good luck

I'm thinking of still using the same NOC, but provide a better job description. The problem was, my position, project coordinator, was not listed anywhere. Technically, it was project technologist, but the company didn't give the title due to I didn't have technologist license until last year.
Because of the same reason, the company did not want to put too technical description of the position since that might be considered as mis-representation.
It's like a double edge sword situation for me.
Thank you anyway for the feed back

You can certainly try. The point is that CIC's criteria for deciding to reopen a case or not is primarily based upon information provided at the time of eApr i.e. original application. If your subsequent letter addresses their concern they would simply say, reapply and you should be fine. An application is only reopened if

a) CIC made a mistake in assessing your docs OR
b) They seem to be requiring additional documentation that was not asked at all and there is no way applicant was expected to have submitted it in advance.

Your case doesn't seem to fall in either of above. So its better not to waste time and effort IMHO.

Here you go:

We are pleased to confirm that Mr. NAME has been in the indeterminate, full-time permanent employment of COMPANY, since MONTH YEAR. Mr. Name has been working in the capacity of TITLE corresponding to NOC XXXX, skill level “XXX” occupation, at COMPANY in LOCATION. Mr. NAME joined COMPANY in LOCATION in MONTH YEAR.

COMPANY wishes to continue to employ Mr. NAME on a full time permanent basis and we are therefore extending our indeterminate offer of employment to Mr. NAME subject to his obtaining permanent residence status in Canada.

There is always the chance of rejection up to the landing office signing the COPR. However, it is extremely unlikely to occur once you have had PPR unless you have had to declare any of the listed changes such as being arrested. However, I don't understand how you got your PPR if BG is in progress. I suspect that the portal is showing an old status as PPR means you're just waiting on the visa (if relevant, sounds like it is) and COPR? May 16th is a long time ago, I would contact them by phone and ask what's going on, it doesn't normally take 2 months to return passport.

Did you ever get schedule A request? Your A11.2 is met, that means you are quite safe. In case you still feel stressed, you can always submit a CSE https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx to correct the two mistakes about the dates of your Residential Address History
May I know, what has schedule A got to do in this context as I got one and my gcms also says A11.2 met and R10 ok.

Thank you everyone. I will try everything I could. It was the last chance and I can't believe I screwed it up. I only have 2 more months left now, and i'm not sure what else to do.

My address has also changed but I have not informed CIC.
I am wondering why should they need to be informed? It will unnecessary add delays to your application. No?
