Hi. Are you in your home country now? Did you stay here in Canada for more than 6 months before? I think you have to submit a police clearance if you stayed in one country for more than 6 months. If less than 6 months, you don't have to. But if you're already living here in Canada, you don't have to submit. I've been here for 3 years, I didn't submit any. They just requested for one.
Thanks for your response.
I am in my home country now and was in Canada for ~2.5 years. I understand that PCC for Canada is not mandatory and should be done only if being asked.
So I was wondering, if I want to get it done from India, how would I go about it.

Hello Experts,

I have two passports and the old one has all the stampings and was thinking to merge both new and old as one and upload in passport placeholder.
However, I came to know that old passport should go in LOE.

Kindly let me know what should I do?

Nothing as such! Actually, the pages of the old PP are not really required (The instructions on the e-APR ask you to submit bio pages + pages with markings/visa/stamps on your current PP alone). It is okay if you have added it along with the current PP pages. You are good to go IMO.

I work for a IT consultancy in USA for Microsoft client. My employer is ready to give me letter as needed by CIC and I do have all the paystubs to claim 1+ years of exp points. Any chances of rejection since I work for a consultancy?
You will not be refused just because you work for a consultancy. As long as you satisfy the eligibility criteria and your responsibilities match the NOC you choose, you should be okay and you are also not medically/criminally inadmissible, you should be good to go!

My friends I have two more questions before I submit my e-APR.

1. where could I upload my nomination certificate in my post-ITA section?
2. When does the payment comes? After signing the declaration?

If you wish to submit upfront then do so along with your LoE (and a Schedule 4).

You'll be aske to pay after submitting all documents...

Yes, LOE section is ideal. That is what I did as well.

Hi all altruists and expert members -

I have received ITA and i really help and advice from the experts on the dilemma i am in, regarding POF.

I work in bank, where I have a personal loan (for purchasing a car) and installment is deducted in monthly basis and the same is reflected in account statement. My salary account is also with this bank, obviously.

To meet my POF requirement, 10 months back, i have made a Fixed Deposit of required amount with other bank (just because the rate of interest is higher).

My questions are -

a) My plan is to provide the FD statement and certificate from other bank, which will cover the POF. I am also planning to cover the balance confirmation certificate issued from my employer bank, which will only contain the ending balance on a given date. I am also planning to provide last credit card statements of three credit cards showing nill balance. Is that okay? Do i need to provide anything more or less?

b) Do i need to provide the account statement of my employer bank? PS. I will provide pay slip for my current job separately, which does not capture the loan installment deduction? Please note, if i provide statement, installment deduction will be shown on statement. Will that create questions and confusions.

I would really appreciate your advice on this issue please.

This is a lot discussed here and you must go through all threads.

I repeat it for you that any loan is a future liability and has to be paid from future income which has nothing to do with present POF except the unpaid instalment.

Secondly it is a mortgage loan and not so imp whether paid back or not or paid anyhow by anyone.

You can give your statements of salary account and loan reflected in it has nothing to do with balance. There is no need to show credit card history.

Just submit fixed deposit receipt and 6 months salary account statements without even considering there is a loan. You will be fine. Don't confuse yourself more on loans.

Thanks and you can pm me for anything.

Hello guys! I'd like to ask a question to the seniors and/or anyone who had successfully managed it.

I have been added to a Joint Fixed Deposit with my parents as recent as January. Will it be fine to show this as POF with a statement from the parents saying that they have no objection for this to be used by me?

I think that this might have been answered earlier and I apologize if it has, but I couldn't find a definitive answer to this.

Thanks for your advice!
Withdraw the deposit and put it under your name only. Take a gift deed from parents to show the money were gifted by parents. joint account with parents is not valid.

No,

It has to be on your name, or shared with your accompanying spouse.
Parents, children, siblings, best freinds, none of it is allowed.

Simple reason is, that at any moment they can change their mind and pick up the deposit of Money there.
What is allowed is to get Money as gift from parents. But Money has to be on your account.
